Saxon are one of the leaders of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal and are established as one of Europe's biggest metal acts, influencing the likes of Metallica, Mötley Crüe and Megadeth. With Biff Byford at the helm, this compilation sees the South Yorkshire heavyweights return to form. This collection of all the biggest hits from 1991-2009, Biff describes as "the point in our career when we started to take control of our production and writing."

Avatarium formed barely 2 years ago but already word is spreading rapidly about this unique band and it's special blend of heavy adventurous music. Jethro Tull….Blue Oyster Cult…Sabbath…Rainbow…. It's all there together with some delicate moments of beauty and fragments of pop and 60's psychedelia. It all began last winter when the mainman of seminal Swedish doomsters Candlemass, Leif Edling needed help to demo a couple of songs he was working on. Weeks turned into months and a few songs became a full length album with Lars Sköld, a good friend of Leif and skinbeater extraordinarie, being recuited on drums.

Additionally, the album veritably glows with exceptional sound quality, as it has been remastered from original tapes that were cut more than four decades ago at the WDR Funkhaus, Cologne.

Sharing her new EP ‘Chewing Cotton Wool’ today, The Japanese House - aka Amber Bain - is unveiling two previously unreleased singles ‘Sharing Beds’ and ‘Dionne’ featuring Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon. The four-track EP also includes previous releases ‘Chewing Cotton Wool’ and ‘Something Has To Change’, and marks her first body of work since her 2019 debut record ‘Good At Falling’. Taking to Twitter, Amber added, “Excited to finally release Dionne and Sharing Beds, the remaining songs on the Chewing Cotton Wool EP. These songs for me punctuate the stages of coming out of a relationship and entering into a new phase.”

Elysian Fields is a progressive rock band formed and led by Mark Jeffry Dye in 1973. In 1978 the band moved to Los Angeles amd changed their name to Impulse and they released five albums on the Electric Fantasy label. While living in Los Angeles Mark became a Midi and synthesis specialist for many top artists like Van Halen, Guiffria, Gino Vannelli, and even appeared on Entertainment Tonight as a technical adviser for electronic music. He now operates a state of the art digital recording facility in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He is now retired but continues to pursue projects that he hasn't had time for over the last 40 years. The Elysian Fields releases should be considered as part of the overall M J D discography and vice versa.

Although Clifford Brown did a phenomenal amount of commercial recordings during his all too brief lifetime (he died prior to his 26th birthday in a car crash that also took the life of his quintet's pianist Richie Powell, Bud's younger brother), relatively few of the recordings he made were on stage. Fortunately, this CD includes performances from two 1956 broadcasts from the old Basin Street club in New York City, and two tracks from a Carnegie Hall concert the previous year. Although the MC talks over some of the music and the fidelity is typical for Airchecks preserved from the era (distorted rhythm section, barely audible piano and bass), the strong playing of both Brown and tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins still comes through the noisy clutter.

When one evaluates Paul Horn's career, it is as if he were two people, pre- and post-1967. In his early days, Horn was an excellent cool-toned altoist and flutist, while later he became a new age flutist whose music is often best used as background music for meditation…

7 is the 7th and last studio album by hard rock band Talisman released on 20 October 2006 on Frontiers Records. It was recorded under the working title of "BAR", which stood for "Bitter-Angry-Resentful", basically a joke referring to the guys’ outlook on certain life events. It was dropped in the end in favour of the more immediate "7". "7" is an album that encompasses several music styles, but keeping intact the elements of the Talisman trademark rhythms. The Swedish bass player and songwriter Marcel Jacob (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, Europe) teamed once again with US vocalist Jeff Scott Soto, formally of (Yngwie Malmsteen, Soul Sirkus and Journey), drummer Jamie Borger (Treat) and guitarist Fredrik Åkesson (Currently a member of Opeth) to give birth to the recording.
