ALCATRAZZ TO RELEASE ‘ALL NIGHT LONG IN JAPAN 2019’ LIMITED EDITION 12” DOUBLE COLOURED VINYL FOR RECORD STORE DAY 2025 A story of the Alcatrazz live album that never was… until now! Alcatrazz was booked to perform in Japan in 2019 for a series of shows unlike the band have ever done before. The tour included two sold out nights in Tokyo — “night one” (TSUTAYA O-EAST, 28th May 2019) would include the classic debut album ‘No Parole From Rock ‘N’ Roll’ performed in full in the intended track sequence the band originally wanted to be released back in 1983. “Night two” (TSUTAYA O-EAST, 31ST May 2019) would include Graham Bonnet’s Rainbow era album ‘Down To Earth’ performed in its entirety. The place was packed for these two unforgettable shows and now you can experience some of the magic from those special nights as Alcatrazz release ‘All Night Long In Japan 2019’ on limited edition 12” double coloured vinyl for Record Store Day 2025.

Orlando 2008 joins Tampa 2008 as the second half of a two-show celebration of life for founding E Street Band member Danny Federici who passed away six days prior. This cathartic, 25-song set mixes core tracks from Magic with three from Bruce's debut album ("Spirit in the Night," "Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street?" and "Lost in the Flood") and features a special guest appearance by The Byrds' Roger McGuinn who leads emotional readings of "Turn! Turn! Turn!" and "Mr. Tambourine Man" in the encore. Rarer still, the show opens with the only performance ever of the rock version of "Blood Brothers."

Lester Young was one of the true jazz giants, a tenor saxophonist who came up with a completely different conception in which to play his horn, floating over bar lines with a light tone rather than adopting Coleman Hawkins' then-dominant forceful approach. A non-conformist, Young (nicknamed "Pres" by Billie Holiday) had the ironic experience in the 1950s of hearing many young tenors try to sound exactly like him.Although he spent his earliest days near New Orleans, Lester Young lived in Minneapolis by 1920, playing in a legendary family band. He studied violin, trumpet, and drums, starting on alto at age 13. Because he refused to tour in the South, Young left home in 1927 and instead toured with Art Bronson's Bostonians, switching to tenor.

No matter how you look at it, there is no one who only thinks of the West Coast as "white people," "blue California skies," "bright and refreshing," and "smooth jazz." California has always been the holy land of black music, and has also given birth to an incredible number of African-American jazz musicians. Nat King Cole, Lionel Hampton, Benny Carter, Charles Mingus, Chico Hamilton, Eric Dolphy, Les McCann, Roy Ayers… The protagonist of this album, tenor saxophonist Kamasi Washington, is also one of those who inherited the "bloodline of LA black musicians." Currently, he plays traditional jazz with the prestigious Gerald Wilson Orchestra, while exploring more contemporary sound creation with his own group, "The Next Step." Preludia, w których d'Anglebert wyraźnie czerpał inspirację z toccat Frescobaldiego i Frobergera, są też swoistym wprowadzeniem w tonację poszczególnych utworów. W każdym z nich następuje później główna sekwencja utworów tanecznych czyli allemande, courante, sarabande i gigue często powtórzonych kilkakrotnie (w Pieces en sol majeur są na przykład aż cztery courantes, oznaczone przez kompozytora jako Courante, Double de la Courante, 2 e Courante i 3 e Courante).

Pianist Stephen Hough is prolific and adventurous, with a large repertory ranging from familiar works to obscurities to music of his own. He is an enthusiastic chamber music player, a writer, and an exhibited visual artist. Hough's recording catalog dates back to the 1980s and covers many genres of music. He has often recorded for the Hyperion label, where in 2025, he released an album of his own Piano Concerto: "The World of Yesterday."Hough (pronounced "huff") was born on November 22, 1961, in Heswall in the English county of Merseyside and grew up in nearby Thelwall, where he took up the piano at the age of five after pestering his parents to acquire a piano from a secondhand shop.

John Lee Hooker was the king of the endless boogie, a globally cherished bluesman whose droning, hypnotic, one-chord grooves were driving, primitive, and timeless. During a 50-year career, he melded regional sounds from the Delta, Detroit, and Chicago in a trademark, oft-imitated approach. From the late 1940s until 1969, he cut more than 100 singles for labels such as Modern, Chess, Federal, Atco, and Vee-Jay, including hits such as "I'm in the Mood," "Hobo Blues," "Boogie Chillen," "Crawling Kingsnake," and "Boom Boom." In 1966 he resurrected and reinvented the '50s R&B hit "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" and made it his own.

On Fire: Live from the Blue Morocco is a never-before-released recording of jazz trumpet icon Freddie Hubbard captured live at the Blue Morocco jazz club in The Bronx, NY in 1967 featuring Bennie Maupin, Kenny Barron, Herbie Lewis and Freddie Waits. Transferred from the original tape reels that were recorded by legendary engineer Bernard Drayton, the album download and 2-CD set includes an elaborate 32-page booklet includes liner notes by producer John Koenig; plus interviews/statements with Kenny Barron and Bennie Maupin, plus other artists who knew or were inspired by Freddie Hubbard such as Eddie Henderson, Charles Tolliver, Jeremy Pelt, Steven Bernstein and more.

Although marred by health issues, Lester Young's playing as the bebop genre developed remained as spectacular as ever it was, and this is well documented throughout this new collection.

Star pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard presents an anthology from György Kurtág’s Játékok (Games), recorded in the composer’s presence and under his artistic guidance. In his extensive series of Játékok, Kurtág realizes the spontaneity of a child exploring the piano with the compositional means of his adventurous, avant-garde idiom. Recording such an extensive collection of Játékok is an important statement for Aimard, who has developed an intimate artistic friendship with the composer over decades.

Born Virginia Patterson Hensley on September 8, 1932, Patsy Cline, the American singer, songwriter, pianist and composer, came from the state of Virginia. She is considered one of the most influential vocalists of the 20th century and was one of the first country music artists to cross over into pop. Cline had several major hits during her eight-year recording career, including two number-ones on the Billboard Hot Country and Western Sides chart. Patsy released just three studio albums during her life: I957's Patsy Cline, 1961's Showcase and 1962's Sentimentally Yours. In addition, her label Decca released a further three previously unreleased LPs posthumously. This new three CD collection contains all these albums in their entirety. She also released many singles which didn't appear on any of her albums. These are also contained herein, which provides for one of the most complete Patsy Cline collections available. Since her death, Cline has been cited as one of the most celebrated, respected, and influential performers of the 20th century. Her music has influenced performers of various styles and genres. She has also been seen as a forerunner for women in country music, being among the first to sell records and headline concerts. In 1973, she became the first female performer to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
