Fierrabras of 1823 is the last of Franz Schubert’s stage works. Rarely performed to this day, this heroic-romantic opera has now been staged for the first time ever at the Salzburg Festival by famous director Peter Stein. The strong cast includes the “marvellously expressive miracle Dorothea Röschmann” (Die Zeit) and “Michael Schade, who exudes his exceptional tenor in Fierrabras’s heroic arias” (Der neue Merker). Under the energetic baton of lngo Metzmacher, the Vienna Philharmonic unfold “the melos, the poetry, the sweetness and the dramatic force of Schubert’s highly refined and atmospheric sound worlds” (Kleine Zeitung) in highly romantic fashion.

Samuel Scheidt (baptized November 3, 1587 – March 24, 1653) was a German composer, organist and teacher of the early Baroque era. Samuel Scheidt published 4 collections entitled Ludi Musici between 1621 & 1627, whereas only the first publication (from which the present program is taken) survives complete. Scheidt continues to be the most significant of the early North German instrumental composers.

It Was Good Until It Wasn't is the second studio album by Asinger and songwriter Kehlani. It is her first project since her 2019 mixtape While We Wait and first full-length record since her 2017 debut studio album SweetSexySavage.

Carl Nielsen’s incidental music The Mother was written for a gala celebrating the reunification of Southern Jutland with Denmark. The score first appeared in print in 2007 and has never been recorded in its entirety. This recording places the music in the right context for the first time, therefore providing us with a new picture of Carl Nielsen as a composer for the theatre. Carl Nielsen uses familiar songs in the play, including the Danish national anthem as well as a curious use of the national anthems from the allied countries that, with their attacks on Germany, determined the fate of Southern Jutland.

Nick Lowe and His Noise To Go rocked Cleveland's Agora Ballroom on February 10, 1982, adding live fury to some of Nick's most celebrated songs. The band rolls through a version of Rockpile's "Pet You and Hold You," followed by an electric performance of "Cracking Up" from Nick's Labour of Lust. The show concludes with a rockin' rendition of Nick's most enduring composition, "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding?"

PETR EBEN is one of the leading composers of our time. The entire work is complete with this recording. Gert Westphal, one of the most renowned German speakers, supports Gunther Rost, who plays on the Jann organs of the Waldsassen Abbey Basilica.

The second – and, as far as most listeners were concerned, final – album from London's Then Jerico stands as the group's defining moment, containing their biggest hit (the rousing, synth-rocking title track) and best presentation, courtesy of former Roxy Music producer Rhett Davies. His polished, sweeping soundscapes match the band's anthemic songwriting well, even if they do remove some of the live excitement that was also a staple of Then Jerico's appeal. The highs here are higher than on First (The Sound of Music), as singer Mark Shaw turns "Sugar Box" into the sort of epic ballad that eluded him previously, and overall is much less mannered than on the band's debut.
