Technical death metal pioneers Deeds of Flesh return after a seven year hiatus with their 9th studio album NUCLEUS, set for release via Unique Leader Records on 11TH DECEMBER 2020. The band’s first release since the tragic passing guitarist / vocalist and Unique Leader founder Erik Lindmark, who lost a battle with Sclerosis 2018, Nucleus features guest performances some of the biggest names in extreme metal to celebrate his life and contribution to metal. FORTIÐ release the "World Serpent"! With this dark and deadly duology, mastermind Einar Eldur Thorberg delivers an album of two parts: The first five tracks were recorded with the former Norwegian line-up. The other songs are a creation of the multi-instrumentalist after changing his residence back to Iceland and enlisting the support of drummer Kristján Einar Guðmundsson (KONTINUUM) with whom he had previously collaborated in the native cult act POTENTIAM. "World Serpent" is loosely based on a unifying apocalyptic theme, but also a beast of two faces. The first half witnesses FORTIÐ subtly experimenting with influences of Bay Area Thrash, while the second half returns to a more black metal approach with screams and clean vocals. Although both parts have diverging musical visions and even different line-ups, they complement each other rather than constitute two separate entities. Despite some subtle experimentation and drastic line-up changes, FORTIÐ are still following the course that Einar Eldur set on the "Völuspá"-trilogy of albums from 2003 to 2010 as well as the acclaimed "Pagan Prophecies" (2012) and "9" (2015) full-lengths: harsh black and death metal riffing with a penchant for epic melodies combined with versatile vocals and a dose of "Icelandic sound". With “World Serpent”, FORTIÐ have unleashed a dark and deadly creature onto the pagan metal world!

Tango has aficionados worldwide – be it for its music, culture or the dance. On New Year’s Eve 2006, conductor and pianist Daniel Barenboim, Argentinean by birth and upbringing, celebrated the end of the year with a spectacular musical event: a festival of Argentinean music live from Buenos Aires. In a seamless fusion of classical and traditional music, the Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires under Barenboim joined the excellent bandoneon virtuoso Leopoldo Federico and his Orquesta Tipica to present an extraordinary show with popular tangos and Latin American orchestra classics to a crowd of 10,000 in a free open-air concert at the Plaza de la República.

A decent ten-track summary of 1980's In Search of the Rainbow Seekers, 1983's Juicy Fruit, 1984's You, Me and He, and 1986's Theater of the Mind, Juicy contains some of Mtume's most significant contributions to '80s R&B radio, though it doesn't leave enough room for a couple highlights (such as "C.O.D. [I'll Deliver]," a minor quiet storm hit that deserved better). Full-blown '80s R&B freaks really should track down each album, but it is a pleasant surprise that this set exists. The more enduring standouts include "Would You Like To (Fool Around)," "You, Me and He," and – of course – the perfect "Juicy Fruit."

A transcendent collection of cuts snipped from a bumper 5CD set of unheard Basho material recorded between 1965 and 1985. American Primitive guitar / Fahey / Takoma / Six Organs of Admittance fans pay attention.
