The Seraphim Trio makes a welcome return to ABC Classics with an album of Beethoven's piano trios. Beethoven's trios are amongst the finest works in the chamber canon, taking the form spawned by Mozart and Haydn and developing it into a musical genre which reached symphonic proportions in its musical language and virtuosity.

The Pianist Chika Inaoka was born in Hyogo, Japan. She began learning piano at the age of three. She graduated from Kyoto Horikawa high school of music and Tokyo college of music in a Piano Performance Course. From 2000 she studied at Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts with Ok-Hi Lee and Prof. Rudolf Meister. She completed her postgraduate studies course with the highest honor in 2003 and her “Konzert Examen Solist Course” with the highest honor in 2005 by the special support of the German government scholarship (DAAD: German Academic Exchange Service).

A prolific and gifted composer, Myslivecek wrote instrumental music, including 'Symphonies' and 'Chamber Pieces'. His first cycle of 'String Quartets' was published in Paris in 1768, the final one in Amsterdam, shortly after his death. These works were often performed in extended formations as symphonies. Myslivecek's 'Quartets' are characterised by wonderfully refined slow middle movements. Even more unique are his oboe quintets.

Britain's Jamie Cullum's sixth studio album, 2013's Momentum, finds the jazz-influenced singer/songwriter flexing his creative muscles on a stylistically varied set. Working with a variety of instruments from vintage keyboards to electronic samples and beats, Cullum clearly used this project to expand his sonic palette.

First class fusion from guitarist Russ Freeman and company. Russ always uses the heavy hitters on the L.A. session scene, and Patti Austin contributes one vocal track.

This album has been a personal favorite since 1992 and I love it more everytime I experience it again. If you can appreciate this type of music in the first place you're going to have a wonderful time hanging out with Bob, Earl and the rest of the crew.

412 Days of Rock 'n' Roll is a live album and DVD by Northern Irish rock band The Answer, released on 13 June 2011. The DVD features a documentary following the band's stint as a support act on AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour. According to lead singer Cormac Neeson, the band played 118 shows with AC/DC and "as many of our own headline shows and radio sessions as we could squeeze into the schedule." The DVD also includes an approximately 60 minute-long live set, which also features on the CD, and all of the band's nine promo videos. In addition to the live set, the CD features a cover of Rose Tattoo's "Rock 'n' Roll Outlaw" and a previously unreleased demo track.

The second of the solo piano CDs recorded by Kenny Werner for Steeplechase, this release shows off Werner's considerable talent as a composer as well as showcasing his incredible technique. His three "Meditations" are very lyrical, soft ballads, while "Melodee No. 2" (dedicated to Mel Lewis) is both haunting and playful. Werner's is at his most adventurous as he reharmonizes both "Giant Steps" and "Stella by Starlight" to where they are barely recognizable.

There is plenty to like about this 1994 release of Tribal Tech material culled from the group's earlier offerings – Tribal Tech, Nomad, and Dr. Hee – specifically, the complex yet beautiful harmonic balance and dedicated interplay between Henderson's guitar and the rest of Tribal Tech (bassist and co-bandleader Gary Willis; drummers/percussionists Brad Dutz, Joey Heredia, and Steve Houghton; keyboardists David Goldblatt and Pat Coil; and saxophonist Bob Sheppard). In a genre of music that is completely ignored by the radio, the great thing about a hits collection like this is that the finest material (not necessarily the most commercial) is what makes the grade (and the track list).
