John Abercrombie's group recordings on ECM have often come in threes. The Third Quartet, his latest featuring violinist Mark Feldman, bassist Marc Johnson and drummer Joey Baron, is an apt (and obvious) title, but hopefully not a sign that this is the end of this group's winning streak. Since forming in 2000 it's evolved into one of the best—if not the best—groups of the guitarist's long career.

From Strasbourg, France, this band declares influences from RIO artists like Art Bears, Zappa and Henry Cow as well as from Canterburians like Hatfield and the North and Soft Machine. The Loomings are: Maria Denami (vocals), Ludmila Schwartzwalder, (vocals, synth), Benoît Rameau (vocals, sax, synth), Louis Haessler (bass), Enrico Pedicone (Drums and Percussion) and Jacopo Costa (Druns and Percussion). Currently they have a bunch of single tracks on Bandcamp and the first full-length album released in 2015 by AltRock Productions. All the band members are classically trained and have previous collaborations and performances in the classical music world. They have taken part to the innovative music festival in Lainate (Milan) in September 2014.

Film composer Eleni Karaindou was born in the Greek mountain village of Teichio and raised in Athens, going on to study piano and music theory at the Hellenikon Odion. Relocating to Paris in 1969, she studied ethnomusicology for five years before returning to Greece to found the Laboratory for Traditional Instruments at the ORA Cultural Centre. Karaindrou's most successful collaboration was with filmmaker Theo Angelopoulos, with whom she first teamed in 1982, going on to score features including 1991's The Suspended Step of the Stork, 1995's Ulysses' Gaze and 1998's Palme d'Or-winning Eternity and a Day. Although primarily aligned with the Greek film industry, Karaindrou also worked with noted European directors including Jules Dassin and the great Chris Marker.

In November 2007, Daniel Barenboim completed a cycle of Beethoven's piano concertos. Recorded live at the prestigious Klavier-Festival Ruhr in May 2007, this DVD recording reflects both a very individual and special reading of Beethoven’s music and the artist’s life-long dedication to the composer. Daniel Barenboim is one of the most prolific and high-profile artists performing on international stages today and Beethoven’s masterpieces have been a key part of his repertoire throughout his career, both as conductor and as pianist. Beethoven himself was a keyboard virtuoso of almost awesome abilities who created a sensation wherever he played. It is no wonder, therefore, that the piano was central to Beethoven’s overall output.

Die Form is chiefly the project of French artist Philippe Fichot, who is usually accompanied by singer Eliane P. Primarily an industrial band, Die Form possess a strong gothic sensibility that is manifested in both the music and in the fetishistic sexual imagery of Fichot's lyrics. The project began by recording a number of experimental cassette releases, starting with Die Form 1 in 1977, and with the first Die Form vinyl release ('Die Puppe') appearing in 1982. Whilst the project was still in its infancy, the underlying concepts were still evident - a combination of esoteric electronic experiments with an underlying theme of erotism, death and other 'taboo' subjects, apparent in both the music and the album artwork, which Philippe also produces. Other early projects of Philippe Fichot included Krylon Hertz, Mental Code, Camera Obscura, Eva-Johanna Reichstag, Hurt and Fine Automatic.

Diana Ross over the last two years has scored four consecutive No. 1 Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart singles – Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’m Coming Out / Upside Down, The Boss, and now Love Hangover 2020. This run is a history-making feat, as each track had been a No. 1 hit during its original release. Following Miss Ross’s four No. 1 Club hits comes a full album of classic songs turned “inside out.” The remixes are by producer Eric Kupper and are all created from the original multi-track masters taken from the Motown vaults.

The emphasis is on ballads for harmonica player Toots Thielemans' outing with the Shirley Horn Trio. Horn, in addition to contributing some tastefully supportive piano and occasional solos, takes a vocal on "Someone to Watch Over Me." Toots sounds quite relaxed performing 11 standards (only "Blues in the Closet" generates much heat) plus his original "For My Lady" with such comfortable backing.

Exactly 20 years after the release of his self-titled, debut solo (& No.1) album, Ronan Keating, returns with an album that encapsulates his many musical achievements since the millennium. Keating describes his new record, `Twenty Twenty,' as "a greatest hits of brand new music". Written, recorded and released January 1970, in a span of just ten days, Instant Karma! was to become one of John Lennon’s most popular singles, reaching #5 in the UK and #2 in the US. Featuring George Harrison alongside bassist Klaus Voormann, drummer Alan White and keyboardist Billy Preston, it marked the first time any Beatle collaborated with legendary producer Phil Spector, who later that year worked on the band’s final album (Let It Be) and solo albums from John and George. The music on this LP has not yet been reissued on CD in the United States. The first two titles ("Spider's Webb" and "Strike Up the Band") feature bebop pianist Duke Jordan as a sideman in a quartet with bassist Tubby Phillips and drummer Roy Hall, led by the talented tenor saxophonist Don Lanphere. The remaining eight selections are from Jordan's debut as a leader, originally cut for the French Vogue label, a 1954 trio set with bassist Gene Ramey and drummer Lee Abrams. The pianist's style changed very little through the years, and virtually all of his recordings are worth picking up for bop fans. This album is perhaps most notable for the inclusion of the initial version of Jordan's most famous original, "Jordu."

Guitar god Scott Henderson is a fusion fanatic's dream, by virtue of his wild yet fluid and even melodic riffs. Bassist Gary Willis lacks Henderson's range compositionally and as a player, but still manages to keep the proceedings grooving. Backed by the keys of David Goldblatt, Joey Heredia's drums and the percussion of Brad Dutz, the two form a powerful musical bond as Tribal Tech. Unlike their previous album, TT's new disc features more melodies (the best ones, "Peru" and "Signal Path" are by Henderson), the softening effect of Goldblatt's key soloing and a tighter tune structure and production all around. There's still lots and lots of improvising, but on the less memorable Willis tunes, it seems to go on interminably.
