Luca Sacher (Trieste, 1993) is a Slovenian - Italian concert pianist. He graduated cum laude from Tartini Conservatory in Trieste and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and received his Master of Music at Texas Tech University. He furthered his education at Accademia di Pinerolo studying with Roberto Plano.

Piano visionary Sandrine Erdely-Sayo pays a dignified tribute to Maestro Franz Liszt in MAJESTIC LISZT, an intimate recording of some of his finest works. Having a deep respect and admiration since childhood, Erdely-Sayo pours every ounce of her being into capturing the contemplative and song-like quality that pervades Liszt’s middle-to-late repertoire. A rich and elegant session, it’s impossible not to be enraptured by her sensitive and languishing treatment in Consolations, nor her delicate attention to poetics in the melody lines of Ständchen and Romance in E Minor. Erdely-Sayo shines in the beloved Liebesträume, delivering an electrifying interpretation while still maintaining a dream-like musicality at its core.

The quartet maintains their usual roles, with their usual flexibilities too; Jusell on violin, Prymek on guitars, Sage on keys and percussion, Shiroishi on saxophones. It’s not unusual for members to veer far from their allotted lanes though; Jusell may suddenly erupt on vibraphone, or Sage may curl through a song on warbling clarinet, Shiroishi’s serene voice is more angelic and more prominently featured than ever, and Prymek’s ambient Americana touches lend the album a shimmering and pastoral delicacy.

Tony Malaby is an excellent, progressively inclined tenor and soprano saxophonist, possessed of an expressive tone, formidable technique and fertile imagination. On Apparitions, his second album as a leader, Malaby fronts a band consisting of the ultra-talented bassist Drew Gress and a pair of dynamic drummers, Michael Sarin and Tom Rainey. Sarin and Rainey work hand-in-glove, and Gress is melodically and percussively inventive. Indeed, the band at times seems like a percussion quartet, so concerned are they with rhythmic interaction. This is no bebop album. It’s avant-gardish, but not impenetrable, making it easy to recommend to the serious listener, regardless of his or her stylistic inclination.

Paradise Theatre is the tenth album by the rock band Styx, released in January 1981. A concept album, the album is a fictional account of Chicago's Paradise Theatre from its opening to closin, used as a metaphor for America's changing times from the late 1970s into the 1980s. It was the most successful album by Styx, peaking at #1 for 3 weeks on the Billboard Album Chart in April and May 1981. It was the band's fourth consecutive triple-platinum album.

Raised in Pittsburgh, jazz and pop singer and actress Christy Baron began her singing career as a cabaret vocalist and piano player while majoring in music at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh. After moving to New York in 1984, she began working as a piano player in smaller jazz clubs. Her second release for CHESKY RECORDS, Steppin', includes tunes by Peter Gabriel, the Beatles, Prince, and the Atlanta Rhythm Section. It wouldn't be fair to characterize Baron as a straight-ahead jazz singer, but rather, she proudly calls herself an interpreter of music, and she fuses many different styles – funk, world music, and even electronica influences – into her approach to recording.

A truly talented vocalist, Christy Baron brings us her third release entitled "Take This Journey", again revealing an intriguing repertoire of modern classics delivered through her evocative voice.

Sylvie Vartan is a French pop institution, as popular today as when she first took the yé-yé scene by storm in 1962. The vivacious and always stylish Sylvie was also a pioneer amongst the new breed of French female artists, crossing the Atlantic several times in the early 60s to record. She proved remarkably adept at tackling material in English, which resulted in many superb recordings chanted in a husky, compelling accent. Her main foreign release in that era was the US-only album "Gift Wrapped From Paris". It combined tracks from the 1963 "Sylvie à Nashville" LP along with new sessions cut in New York in late 1964 with a crack session crew plus Ellie Greenwich and friends on backing vocals, all directed by Sylvie's brother Eddie Vartan. Later on Sylvie recorded in England and utilised the talents of her British in-house writers, Tommy Brown and Micky Jones, the latter later to become famous in the band Foreigner.

Daniel Diaz is an Argentinian bass player multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and composer known for his work for films and television, along with his fusion of different styles and genres of Argentinian music, jazz and experimental music. He has lived in Paris, France since 1997.
