This 1973 release features what is essentially a Bay Area bar band led by Merl Saunders (keyboards) and Jerry Garcia (guitar) during the latter musician's downtime from the Grateful Dead. Along with the two subsequent "encore" volumes, Live at Keystone includes performances drawn from the quartet's July 10-11, 1973, run in the intimate confines of Keystone Korners in Berkeley. With the support of Bill Vitt(percussion) and John Kahn (bass), the pair jams their way through an eclectic assortment of covers and a few equally inspired original instrumentals.

Up at "Minton's" is a live album by jazz saxophonist Stanley Turrentine recorded for the Blue Note label and performed by Turrentine with Grant Green, Horace Parlan, George Tucker, and Al Harewood. The album was originally released as two separate volumes on LP and later as a double CD set.

"Free for All" is the 1964 masterpiece by Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers. The album features a stellar lineup, which includes Freddie Hubbard, Wayne Shorter, Curtis Fuller, Cedar Walton and Reggie Workman. The musicians display their undeniable chemistry and unmatched artistic powers. This seminal classical features the stellar tunes “The Core”, “Free for All” and “Pensativa”. "Free for All" is a historic outing that is essential for any collection.

"Finest Hour: The Best of Gavin DeGraw" is a compilation album by American singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw. This is his first "greatest hits" album. It contains songs from all his studio albums except Free (2009). It also includes the two new tracks "You Got Me" and "Fire".

"The Cape Verdean Blues" followed Song for My Father as another album by Horace Silver that was inspired by his father, who hailed from the island nation of Cape Verde. The Cape Verdean Blues featured the added contribution of legendary bop trombonist J.J. Johson, whom Silver had wanted to work with for quite some time leading up to this album.

Magdalena Kožená presents a recital of Czech songs, together with the Czech Philharmonic under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle. The first impression of Czech songs may be atmospheric nature scenes, or stories about pretty peasant girls and village pranks, but the selection on this album demonstrates that the imagination of Czech song composers stretched far wider. For example, Bohuslav Martinů’s Nipponari were inspired by Japanese culture, whereas his folksy Songs on One Page obtain a deeper meaning knowing that he wrote them in the US, having fled the Nazi threat.

Weather Report started out as a jazz equivalent of what the rock world in 1970 was calling a "supergroup". But unlike most of the rock supergroups, this one not only kept going for a good 15 years, it more than lived up to its billing, practically defining the state of the jazz-rock art throughout almost all of its run. Mysterious Traveller is the band's fourth studio album.

Alice and the Glass Lake was the sonic dream world of Wisconsin native Alicia Lemke, who leaves this album as part of her legacy following her death in August 2015 from leukemia at the age of only 28. Alice and the Glass Lake harnesses transportive escapism through dancing melodies, honest lyrics and ambient sonic landscapes.

“Jazz blossoms with deep roots” is how the Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper summarised a concert appearance of Natalia Mateo. The title of her second album "De Profundis", Latin for "out of the depths", sets the tone: subtle, knowing songs mark out paths that are Mateo's and hers alone. Thoughtful, original compositions and highly personal interpretations of covers reflect her story set against a backdrop of East and West, a life punctuated by changes of surroundings, by departures which lead to fresh beginnings.

The Omnibus Wind Ensemble's interest in Frank Zappa's music dates back to the beginning of the 1980s, almost from their very beginnings. Under the motto "From Mozart to Zappa", which also became the title of their 1st, widely acclaimed release on the Opus3 label, they have had many of Frank Zappa's compositions in their repertoire over the years.

Inspired in part by Eastern European and Jewish folk traditions, Ben Caplan mixes older musical sensibilities with his own soul, straight from his hairy heart. His new album, Birds with Broken Wings, explodes with sounds both ancient and modern, with more than 30 musicians and even more instruments, combining acoustic sounds from around the world. It’s all smoothly blended by the hottest international production team around. It’s uncharted territory, and Caplan’s leading the way.

There are singers and there are jazz singers. There are jazz singers and there are a few artists who bring more to the microphone – their life, love, heartaches and joy. Alison Burns is one of those artists.

The Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra made this album in cooperation with the Kokkola Winter Accordion Festival. The release contains three accordion concertos by Aulis Sallinen, Minna Leinonen, and Veli Kujala. All of them are world-premiere recordings. Solists on this release are Antti Leinonen, Sonja Vertainen, Janne Valkeajoki, and Petteri Waris. The ostrobothnian chamber orchestra is conducted by Tomas Djupsjöpacka.
