Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Rami Gabriel has been a motive force in rock n' roll, jazz, Arabic, and experimental music communities across North America for over twenty years. In that time, he has released numerous projects across genres and under many names. On his debut LP for Sooper Records, Rami trips all the breakers. In his own name and voice for the first time, That’s what I been sayin’ is not so much a debut as a conflagration in Rami Gabriel’s worldly underground.

Soultrane is one of the essential albums in John Coltrane's career. Recorded during the first year of his Prestige contract, between his critical service in Thelonious Monk's quartet and his return to the band of Miles Davis, it finds the tenor saxophonist displaying a new level of both technical and conceptual refinement, dispensing torrents of notes that annotator Ira Gitler famously dubbed "sheets of sound".

If Handel's arias enjoy such success today, perhaps it is because they lie at the intersection between past and present, light and shadow. Anna Marie Wooldridge, known professionally as Abbey Lincoln, was an American jazz vocalist, songwriter, and actress. She was a civil rights activist beginning in the 1960s. Lincoln made a career not only out of delivering deeply felt presentations of standards but writing and singing her own material. "It's Magic" is her third album featuring tracks recorded in 1958 for the Riverside label.

Brain child of pioneering producer Ethel Gabriel, The Living Voices were one of the top acts on RCA's wildly successful Living Stereo imprint. Living Voices' albums were renowned for their ornate orchestration, innovative arrangements, and, most of all, sweeping stereo sound. "Angel Of The Morning" have been released in 1969 by RCA/Camden label and features the covers of "rock/pop" tunes, arranged and conducted by Bob Armstrong.

With 37 confirmed trio sonatas to his credit, Giuseppe Tartini is the most important Italian composer of his generation for this type of repertoire. It may seem odd therefore that these works have been so sorely neglected; indeed, as of 2022 only around 20 per cent of the repertoire had been recorded and a critical edition had yet to be published.

After three solo recordings, virtuoso pianist Paul Wee brings us two forgotten concertos from the Romantic period with the Swedish ChamberOrchestra conducted by Michael Collins. Premiered by Clara Schumann under the baton of Felix Mendelssohn, Adolph von Henselt's Concertoin F minor was eventually performed by the greatest virtuosos of the 19th and 20th centuries. It has, however, inexplicably disappeared from therepertoire despite it's obvious qualities: soaring melodies and tender lyricism, colourful orchestration, dramatic intensity across it's three movements and piano writing of astound inginventiveness and brilliance.

Love remains…In 1993, three musicians from Sweden, Esbjörn Svensson, Dan Berglund and Magnus Öström formed the band e.s.t.. Svensson and Öström had known each other ever since their first steps into music as children. Neither of them could have anticipated that e.s.t. would become the most influential band in European jazz of the noughties. And when the band formed they probably didn't think they were particularly ‘jazz’ either; all they wanted to do was to play the music which united their passions: rock, pop, classical, folk, improvisation. In the following 15 years, e.s.t. would play thousands of concerts worldwide, release ten studio albums and several live recordings, win awards, gold discs. We all know how the story ends.

The Iiro Rantala HEL Trio is capable of incredible contrasts, and therein lies its appeal.
