Sorcerer is an album recorded in May 1967 by the Miles Davis quintet. It is the third of six albums that this quintet recorded. It also includes one track from a 1962 session with vocalist Bob Dorough, which was the first time Wayne Shorter recorded with Davis. Davis does not play on the second track, "Pee Wee". The album's cover is a profile photo of actress Cicely Tyson, who at the time was Davis's girlfriend (and many years later his wife).

Someday My Prince Will Come is the seventh studio album by Miles Davis for Columbia Records, released in 1961. Recorded at Columbia's 30th Street Studio in Manhattan, it marked the only Miles Davis Quintet studio recording session to feature saxophonist Hank Mobley.

Drifter is the debut studio album by American country music singer Sylvia. It features the top ten singles "Heart on the Mend", "Tumbleweed", "It Don't Hurt to Dream", "The Matador", and the number-one single, "Drifter". The album reached No. 10 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. It offers a traditional country feel, using fiddles and steel guitars.

A distinctive pianist whose unique, slip-note playing style came to typify the pop-oriented Nashville sound of the late 1950s and early '60s, session and solo musician Floyd Cramer was born October 27, 1933, in Louisiana. After a childhood spent largely in Arkansas, he returned to his home state in 1951 and began appearing on the radio program The Louisiana Hayride, where he performed with the likes of Jim Reeves, Faron Young, Webb Pierce, and, in his debut, Elvis Presley. While Cramer cut a few solo sides in 1953, his most important work in the early '50s was as a session musician, where he first met Chet Atkins, who encouraged the pianist to move to Nashville. He did in 1955, rejoining Atkins as the house pianist at RCA Records to begin developing what would ultimately be recognized as the Nashville sound, a style shorn of the elements associated with traditional country and honky tonk instead favoring a more polished, progressive sheen.

Marilyn Maye is an American cabaret singer and musical theatre actress. She began her career as a young child performing in Kansas in both live concerts and on the radio. She made numerous recordings for RCA Victor during the 1960s, after which she has had a highly successful career as a cabaret artist, continuing to this day. Her 1966's album "The Second of Maye" captured live at Manhattan's intimate Living Room, with The Sammy Tucker Quintet as backing band.

Jasamine White-Gluz, the principal songwriter of Canadian shoegaze/noise pop band No Joy, and Sonic Boom, aka Spaceman 3 co-founder Pete Kember, have joined forces for a new EP. The collaborative effort is simply titled "No Joy/Sonic Boom" and is due out March 30th via Joyful Noise. Described in a press release as a “synth pop” EP with notes of “electronica, trip-hop and experimental noise”, the four-track effort came about from White-Gluz’s desire to explore music away from a four-piece “rock band”. No Joy / Sonic Boom is an experiment in testing boundaries and stepping out of comfort zones gone cosmically right.

Porter Wayne Wagoner was an American country music singer known for his flashy Nudie and Manuel suits and blond pompadour. In 1967, he introduced singer Dolly Parton on his television show, and they were a well-known vocal duo throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s. "Tore Down" is his album, released in 1974 via RCA Victor label.

Where the Lilies Bloom is a 1974 American drama film directed by William A. Graham and starring Julie Gholson, Harry Dean Stanton, Rance Howard, and Jan Smithers. Based on the 1969 novel of the same name by Bill and Vera Cleaver, it follows four underage siblings in Appalachia who attempt to conceal the death of their widowed father to avoid being separated. The film was shot in Watauga County (towns of Boone and Blowing Rock), Ashe County (towns of West Jefferson and Lansing), and in Avery County (towns of Elk Park and Banner Elk), North Carolina. Soundtrack music is by Earl Scruggs. Children from local elementary schools were recruited to act in the film.

Otis Stacks is a collaboration be- tween Michael Munch aka JustMike, a producer from Denmark, and Elias Wallace a singer songwriter from Pasadena, California. The music is analog synth based soul with under- tones of the hiphop culture that both grew up in.

Preoccupations have never been afraid of ripping it up and starting again. They had to when they changed their name from Viet Cong, and the transformations continue on "New Material". This third full-length release for the Canadian post-punk quartet was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnson.
