Adrian Belew, live from Paradise Theater, Boston MA, 18th July 1989. Adrian Belew should be known as versatility personified when it comes to the guitar, as a multi-instrumentalist & vocalist he is renowned for creating soundscapes that leave others in awe. Possibly known most for his role in King Crimson, Belew has also collaborated with Zappa, Bowie, and the Talking Heads, among others. Most of the material here is from 1989's Mr. Music Head, but some other King Crimson gems are found here. Homespun presents this remastered performance from the Paradise Theater on July 18, 1989, broadcast live on WBCN-FM in Boston for your listening pleasure. This archival recording illustrates why Trent Reznor described Belew as "the most awesome musician in the world" in Guitar Player magazine and shows his versatility and depth.

Billy Joel, live from The Dome Auditorium, Greenvale, New York May 21st 1977. Homespun brings you the WLIR-FM broadcast of Billy Joel's concert from C.W. Post College in Brookville, Greenvale, New York. Performed on May 6th, 1977, it serves as an important signpost in his development and career. Transmitted shortly before the astronomical success of The Stranger, which would be released just four months after, propelling him onto the global stage and garnering critical acclaim. Joel previews two tracks from the album here, along with early classics. Included is arguably his most iconic song, and moniker, Piano Man. This broadcast documents his calibre and growing artistry as both a songwriter and performer. Found here in remastered audio we are proud to present this historical broadcast.

Nearly all produced by country music's best-known producer Billy sherrill, this sixty track 3 CD set features tammy's top hits.

Limited edition six CD box set from the Punk icons including a 16 page biography booklet with extensive gigography 1975-1978. Each CD features a full live concert recorded in the bands 1987 USA tour, Sweden, UK and the final disc is a collection of rare demos from August 1977 at Wessex Sound studios. The band originally comprised vocalist Johnny Rotten, guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook and bassist Glen Matlock (later replaced by Sid Vicious). Although their initial career lasted only three years and produced only four singles and one studio album, the Sex Pistols have been described by the BBC as "the definitive English Punk Rock band." The Pistols are widely credited with initiating the Punk movement in the United Kingdom and creating the first generation gap within Rock 'N' Roll.

When Ace asked me to tell you about their new BRIAN WILSON: PET PROJECTS CD, I thought I'd go in search of some background colour in order to gain a livelier understanding of the whole surfing genre. A trip to California was out of the question. Ace's budget wouldn't stretch that far. Instead, I was given Truro on the Cornish Riviera as a more feasible option. You'll love it there," I was assured, "it'll be virtual reality - the perfect place for re-living the 'California Myth' that Brian wrote and sang about all those years ago." Humm. Ace's 'mother hen' and doughty production manager, Carol Fawcett, made me a nice packed lunch (neatly crammed into a Tupperware container) and a flask of coffee and off I went. It only took a couple of hours by train. En route, I discovered that Carol had even slipped a couple of Wagon Wheels into the top pocket of my anorak. Yummy!

He performs well, but not wonderfully, on this July 1961 session in Indianapolis, accompanied only by his guitar (although he uses piano on one song, "Little Girl Blues"). His guitar playing is in better shape than his vocals, and, in fact, his instrumental work is sparkling on tunes like "Blues Before Sunrise," where the pacing and alternation of chords and single-note runs is immaculate. The instrumental "'A' Blues" is also a standout in its tradeoffs between high and low notes. It's mostly blues of a slow and deliberate, if varied, pace, though "Little Boy Blues" picks up the mood into a charging, swinging rhythm.

The Sex Pistols were an English punk rock band that formed in London in 1975. Although their initial career lasted just two and a half years, they are regarded as one of the most groundbreaking acts in the history of popular music. They were responsible for initiating the punk movement in the United Kingdom and inspiring many later punk and alternative rock musicians. Their fashion and hairstyles have been credited as a significant influence on punk image, and they are often associated with anarchism within music. Simon John Ritchie (10 May 1957 – 2 February 1979), known professionally as Sid Vicious, was an English musician best known as the bassist for the punk rock band Sex Pistols. He replaced Glen Matlock, who had fallen out of favour with the other members of the group.

"Along with Barren Cross, Stryper, and Resurrection Band, the Seattle-based Bloodgood (formed in 1985) pioneered the sounds of Christian hard rock with a commercial success that bands like Jerusalem and Barnabas had only hinted at achieving. Bloodgood had the look and the sound - dressing in spandex and churning out loud, heavy metal music on the order of Twisted Sister, Ratt, and Quiet Riot. On Detonation, the band takes a heavier, more aggressive approach. This is straightforward traditional heavy metal at it's finest. In addition, Detonation finds Bloodgood coming into it's own as songwriters, delivering some of the most exquisite compositions of it's career, many which remain concert staples to this day.

Fishmans made their major debut in 1991 during the band boom era as the first artist signed to "Virgin Japan". As a rock band influenced by reggae, rocksteady, and dub, they left behind numerous iconic songs. Among them, "Ikareta Baby" has become an anthem covered by countless artists, known and unknown, not only within the lovers' rock scene but also beyond. Though their activity ceased in 1999 following the passing of vocalist Shinji Sato, the band resumed performances in 2005 at the RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL, with drummer Kin-ichi Motegi taking on main vocal duties, alongside guest vocalists for occasional live events. This box set chronicles the band’s journey through sound. Under the direction of Kin-ichi Motegi, rare recordings from their early days, radio performances, unreleased live tracks, and demo tapes were meticulously archived over two years, digitized from cassette tapes, DATs, and multitrack tapes. The set includes in-depth commentary on every track, drawn from interviews with Motegi himself.
