The genesis of "Nosthaigia" is as fascinating as the music itself. Onra spent several years living in Thailand, immersing himself in the vibrant culture and scouring local record shops for rare gems. The result is a collection of Thai songs from various genres, all sourced on 7 inches. These short instrumentals serve as time capsules, transporting listeners to a bygone era filled with nostalgia and longing. Produced entirely on the MPC1000 in 2017 and revisited in 2020, "Nosthaigia" is a testament to the power of serendipity and artistic evolution. What began as a casual exploration of unfamiliar musical territory blossomed into a deeply personal and meaningful project for Onra. Amidst a series of unfortunate life events, he found solace and inspiration in the beats he had crafted years prior.

The Memphis Jug Band, most active from 1926 into the 1950s, revolved around guitarist, harmonica player and singer Will Shade and featured a wide variety of instrumentation including harmonica, kazoo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, piano, washboard and, of course, jug. They recorded more songs than any pre-war jug band and as a result, were key in developing the jug band tradition and format.

"Leon Russell and The Shelter People" is the 1971 gem by multi-instrumentalist and music icon Leon Russell. The album is comprised of eight Russell originals, two Dylan covers and Harrison’s “Beware of Darkness”. It is a full display of Russell’s gifts as an instrumentalist and his abilities to produce timeless Rock & Roll classics. Russell’s soulful talents shine through on the tracks “Of Thee I Sing”, “Home Sweet Oklahoma” and “She Smiles Like a River”. "Leon Russell and The Shelter People" finds Russell at his prime and is an important document in his illustrious career.

The current lineup of New Haven’s long running Mountain Movers (guitarist/vocalist Dan Greene, bassist Rick Omonte, guitarist Kryssi Battalene, & drummer Ross Menze) have been playing together for over a decade now, making their recorded debut on a slew of singles released from 2011-2013, but it wasn’t until 2015’s “Death Magic” (released on New Haven label Safety Meeting) that the potential of that iteration of the group became clear; Mountain Movers are a force of nature.

Legendary American singer and pianist Leon Russell has entertained the world for five decades, getting his start as an in-demand Wrecking Crew session player and playing on hundreds of hit records before he began releasing his own albums in 1967. His latest studio album, titled "Life Journey", features newly-written, original songs and Russell's turns on classics that resonate with the two-time GRAMMY winner as important to his musical trajectory. The album is produced by Tommy LiPuma and executive produced by Elton John, with whom Russell most recently collaborated for 2010's critically acclaimed album, The Union.

Isabelle Geffroy, better known by the nickname Zaz, is a French singer-songwriter mixing jazzy styles, French variety, soul and acoustic. Her vocals are often compared to those of Edith Piaf. Recto Verso is her second studio album. The album was Zaz's first album in three years, after her eponymous début, released in 2010. It débuted on the French Album Chart at #2 and to date has spawned two singles, "On ira" and "Si". Musically, it is largely in a similar style to Zaz's début album. The title refers to the two sides of Zaz's personality, which she wished to express in the music of the album.

Sung in English by the French-Nigerian singer Mahakwe Wadike aka Nai-Jah, the texts are rich in meaning, advocate freedom and above all, the demonstration of human madness, craziness. (demo-crazy) as the legendary Fela Kuti once said. This new album will be produced by the music director Tamal (known for his work with Marcus Gad). It is the continuity of our work whilst gaining efficiency, energy and a deeper sound musically.
