Urubamba was a music group consisting of musicians from Argentina, Perú and Uruguay, founded in 1956 by Jorge Milchberg. Urubamba, at the time known as Los Incas, introduced Paul Simon to Andean music in the mid-1960s, and then toured and recorded with Simon ("El Cóndor Pasa").

Voyage of the Acolyte is the first studio album by English guitarist, songwriter, and singer Steve Hackett, released in October 1975 on Charisma Records as his only album recorded and released while he was a member of Genesis. Hackett recorded the album during a break in group activity in mid-1975 and used guest musicians, including Genesis bassist Mike Rutherford and drummer Phil Collins, to play on the record. It has a loose concept with the title and lyrics of each track inspired by a Tarot card.

Deutsche Grammophon’s landmark cycle of Mozart’s mature operas reaches its sixth title with The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflöte). Set for international release on August 2 via Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, the live recording continues the Yellow Label’s special collaboration with the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. It boasts a stellar cast, headed by the project’s initiator, Rolando Villazón, as Papageno, together with Klaus Florian Vogt as Tamino, Christiane Karg as Pamina, Regula Mühlemann as Papagena, Albina Shagimuratova as the Queen of the Night, and Franz-Josef Selig as Sarastro.

Doomin Kim, who makes his recording debut with this album of piano music by Mendelssohn, is a 16-year-old from South Korea, currently on a programme for exceptionally talented students at Paris's École Normale de Musique. 'Mendelssohn's music is like reading a book, a romantic story, a fairy tale or a poem. I hope that people will find peace in their hearts when they listen to it.' The best-known works on the programme are the mercurial 'Rondo capriccioso in E major' and the 'Fantasia in F sharp minor', known as the `Scottish Sonata'.

Across the previous Slaughter Beach, Dog albums, Jake Ewald has crafted a specific sound.
