This compilation and 10th release from Larry Miller features tracks recorded over the last 10 years. There are three previously unreleased songs and the remaining tracks taken from five previous CDs, have all been remixed by Larrys long term sound engineer and co producer Neil Sadler at No Machine Studios, Wokingham, Berkshire. Larry chose the songs to highlight different sides of his song writing and guitar skills and to show that hes not just an in yer face blues rocker. Following Larry Millers stroke in August 2015, there are a lot of fans waiting for a new release and to be able to help Larry by buying his CDs. Larry continues to improve and hopes to be back on stage in the autumn winter 2016.

June 1st 2016 saw the 30th anniversary of the release of Chris de Burgh's album Into The Light. This was the album that established Chris as a true worldwide superstar. The album sold in excess of eight million copies. 30 years later Chris is releasing his 26th studio album - A Better World. The album includes brand new self-penned songs which encompass all the craftsmanship learnt from the more than 280 songs written by this master songwriter. The first single is called 'Bethlehem' - a dynamic rock track reminiscent of the global hits 'Don't Pay The Ferryman' and 'High On Emotion'. Always in tune with global and political issues, Chris de Burgh provides much food for thought in the lyrical content of his new album. The title alone sets the tone and intent for a collection of songs which, although not exclusively concerned with key issues of the day, certainly holds up a mirror to many of them.

The Most of Animals or The Most of The Animals is the title of a number of different compilation albums by Newcastle upon Tyne blues rock group The Animals. Although track listing varies, all feature only songs from 1964 and 1965. The title is derived from the name of their then producer Mickie Most. The first album was released in 1966 by Columbia (SX 6035). Most of the material had not featured on either of their previous two UK LPs. The album charted at #4 - their highest position so far on the UK album chart (both previous LPs having peaked at #6). It was their final album for EMI-owned Columbia before moving to Decca.

Jubilation is a revealing, wonderful collection of the Holmes Brothers' distinctive soul. The brothers tie together a seemingly disconnected array of styles – everything from straightforward blues, R&B, and gospel to worldbeat and country – and come up with a cohesive whole. Even when the group delves into soukous or works with a Chinese flutist, it manages to retain the pure qualities of American blues and R&B.

The most brilliant of Belgian composer César Franck's compositions were written during the final decade of his life; the Symphonic Variations for piano and orchestra, the famous Violin Sonata, the D major String Quartet, and, perhaps most important, the Symphony in D minor are all the products of a single, remarkable five-year period. The Symphony, by no means an immediate success with critics or audiences, has nevertheless become so fused with the popular image of César Franck that it is nearly impossible to think of him without also thinking of this 40-minute orchestral juggernaut. And yet the work is by no means an empty audience-pleaser: as with all of his final compositions, the Symphony shows a superb synthesis of Franck's own uniquely rich harmonic language and cyclic themes with the traditions of Viennese Classicism that he had come to revere later in life (principally through the music of ).

Thomas Campion, an English composer, lutenist, poet and physician who lived from 1567–1620, was one of the most prolific lutenists and poets of the Elizabethan era. During his lifetime he wrote a total of 118 ayres, which were published in five volumes. In addition to writing poetry collections and composing ayres, he also composed music for so-called masques. Campion wrote all the text templates himself, which he subsequently used in all his song collections. Although he was able to combine his lyrics with music better than any other English composer, his work has been criticized for a lack of creative originality and musical variety. In this respect he was often compared to his famous contemporary John Dowland. However, it should be noted that Campion, unlike Dowland, composed his works as an ardent music enthusiast and his main livelihood was not music, but medicine. With the passage of time, however, we can state with certainty that Campion's less complicated compositional style was unique and highly original. Many of Campion's songs transcended his conventional approach, and many became outstanding musical examples of lute and chant literature.

American-Armenian composer Alan Hovhaness was a significant representative of 20th-century music a composer who sought a path independent to the fashions and trends of his time. He avoided the European avant-garde, instead embracing Armenian and oriental traditions as well as Medieval and Renaissance music. This second volume includes the sonic atmospheres of Hermes Stella, dedicated to the poet-philosopher-mystic Francis Bacon, and the complex and fascinating Piano Sonata Journey to Arcturus which takes us to one of the most visible stars from Earth. MusicWeb International considered Alessandra Pompili a splendid young exponent of Hovhaness music in Volume 1 of this edition (CDS7701).

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622, was completed in October 1791 for the clarinettist Anton Stadler. It consists of three movements, in a fast–slow–fast succession.

The emergence of the cello as a solo instrument at the beginning of the 19th century encouraged composers to explore its melodic and sonorous potential, with compositions for two or more cellos becoming increasingly popular. Bernhard Romberg and Anton Kraft both had personal connections to Beethoven – their works offer inventive timbres, intimacy and substantial virtuosity. The world premiere recording of the sparkling Concertino by Kraft’s son Nikolaus completes an album of unique gems, influenced by Beethoven and Haydn, which helped to usher in the golden age of the cello.

EU-only release containing all existing broadcasts presenting Charlie Parker at the Bandbox club in New York. He is featured here in unusual contexts, with the Bill Harris/Chubby Jackson Herd and with organist Milt Buckner, as well as a whole show in a quartet format. As a bonus, we have added all existing music from a jam session recorded in 1951 at Christy's Restaurant, in Framingham, Massachusetts, as well as a rare session taped that same year at the Diplomat Hotel in New York. This collection contains Parker's only existing version of 'Your Father's Moustache', as well as all of his surviving versions of 'Caravan'.

Fire Ritual, the concerto that lends its name to the present disc, was composed with Hemsing in mind. With it Tan Dun has created a musical ceremony for the victims of war, building on four themes: Cruel Wars, Innocent People, Mantras of the Heavenly Birds and Eternity. The concerto was premièred in September 2018 by Hemsing and the Oslo Philharmonic, conducted by the composer. For Eldbjørg Hemsing, Tan Dun has also created the concerto that opens the disc, Rhapsody and Fantasia, based on earlier works. Both works reflect the composer’s memories of growing up barefoot in the countryside, and his later experiences of bringing together the shamanistic and spiritual world of his childhood with the discipline and philosophy of Peking Opera. Or in the composers own words: ‘a reflection of those early memories of my youth, but through the lens of my current musical soundscape’.

This absorbing project finds Australian composer Brett Dean and Estonian composer Erkki-Sven Tüür drawing inspiration in very different ways from the music, life and times of Carlo Gesualdo and juxtaposes these reflections with Gesualdo’s own music. The music of Carlo Gesualdo, Prince of Venosa (1566-1613) has exerted a powerful influence on composers down the ages. His highly-charged, mannerist, idiosyncratic vocal music constitutes “a gallery of dramatically-lit portraits of human emotions with a heavy emphasis on the extremes of joy and despair” (to quote former Hilliard Ensemble singer Gordon Jones).

Slate & Quartz is the second release from the band Flex. It features some of Art's older and unrecorded pieces, including "Pathways" (for Bill Evans) and "Underbrush" (written for and first played by Steve Swallow). This album also includes beautiful pieces written by Gonzalo and Dru, as well as pieces written while wintering in Arizona.
