Chromatica is the sixth studio album by American singer Lady Gaga. It was released on May 29, 2020, by Streamline and Interscope Records. Originally scheduled for April 10, 2020, the album's release was delayed for several weeks, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Chromatica marks a departure from Gaga's fifth studio album, Joanne (2016), with the singer intending the album to be a reminder of her "absolute love for electronic music". Incorporating elements of dance-pop, EDM and other pop-focused genres, many commentators compared it favorably to earlier works. Gaga collaborated with various producers on the record, including BloodPop, BURNS, Axwell and Tchami. Lyrically, the themes of the album revolve around mental health, healing, and finding happiness and love through hardship. It also features guest vocals from Ariana Grande, Blackpink and Elton John.

Two of pianist Erroll Garner's albums for his Octave label have been reissued on full on this single CD from Telarc. Backed by bassist Eddie Calhoun and drummer Kelly Martin, Garner is heard stretching out in the studios and playing in concert at the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. Among the most consistent of jazzmen, Garner typically romps through a variety of standards plus his own "Misty," "Dreamstreet," "Mambo Gotham" and a medley of songs from the play Oklahoma. Other highlights of the spirited set include "Just One of Those Things," "Blue Lou," "The Lady Is a Tramp," "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Mack the Knife."

Although there have been several fine recordings of Schumann's String Quartets, Op. 41 – those of the Gabrieli and Lark Quartet immediately come to mind – and several superb classic recordings of the works – those of the Juilliard and the Drolc and of course the magisterial Budapest immediately come to mind – but hands down, far and away, and absolutely without question the best recording of Schumann's String Quartets, Op. 41, is this one by the Quatuor Ysaÿe.

Born in Rome in 1600 in a family of musical traditions, Giovanni Felice Sances owes his musical education first to the Roman environment, and then to the Venetian, strongly influenced by the genius of Monteverdi that in those days was dominating unchallenged. The turning point of Sances life however, occurred at thirty-six when he was hired at the Imperial Chapel of Vienna, first as singer, and then - known for his skills - as main composer and favorite of the emperor; he retained this position until his death, leaving the Imperial Chapel an impressive number of compositions.

Powerful, heavy & bluesy ! People say its the toughest sounding band around. The band with the original, raw sound hails from New Orleans, Louisiana. Johnny leads the ensemble and has racked up 11 records, countless festival appearances, over 30 european tours, a feature in a 2013 film as well as recording for the BBC in London, German National Radio in Bremen, and Belgian National Radio in Brussels. JMMBs music is a blend of new and old at the same time. Roots run deep as Johnny spent 16 years (and Smoke 6 years) at the blues shrine "Babe's & Ricky's Inn" under tutelage from Laura Mae "Mama" Gross.

This Acelga Quintet's thematic recording is full of drama! It features original works and arrangements for wind quintet by Luciano Berio, Franz Danzi, Jacob Gade, Claude-Paul Taffanel, and Giuseppe Verdi. All works relate their own narrative, both musically and dramatically: from homicidal opera thrillers to hungover brawls in the backlot. With a diverse tonal palette and a love of detail, the highly virtuosic wind ensemble interprets music that is dear to them. The five young musicians have won prizes in various competitions, including the ARD Music Competition, and hold positions at universities or major orchestras.

Although Michael Schenker is not involved, UFO's 2006 release The Monkey Puzzle sees four-fifths of the classic lineup back in place - singer Phil Mogg, bassist Pete Way, guitarist/keyboardist Paul Raymond, and drummer Andy Parker are all back on board. However, the group has hired certainly no slouch to replace Schenker on the six-string: Vinnie Moore. While they've taken numerous stabs over the years at replicating the magic of when Schenker is present - with varying results - tracks such as "Who's Fooling Who" and "Down by the River" contain the classic UFO sound, and certainly wouldn't have sounded out of place on Lights Out or Obsession. Elsewhere, Mogg sings in a much more gravelly style than what he's accustomed to, especially on the Zeppelin-esque "Heavenly Body." Some fans will never accept UFO sans Schenker. But for those who do, The Monkey Puzzle is certainly one of UFO's stronger non-Schenker studio efforts.

In 2018, Paul Lewis embarked on an exploration of one of the richest bodies of work of the Classical era: the keyboard sonatas of Haydn. For his second volume, the British pianist tackles some of the most remarkable pieces in this vast oeuvre: the exceptionally concise Sonata in D major Hob. XVI:51, for example, which is surprisingly pre-Romantic (Schubert is not far off), or the celebrated Sonata in E flat major Hob. XVI:52, with which Haydn conferred well-nigh symphonic dimensions on the keyboard sonata for the very first time.

Trumpeter Harry "Sweets" Edison was 74 at the time of this live set, but he still sounds in pretty good form. He is teamed with fellow Basie veterans Buddy Tate (who splits his time almost evenly between tenor and his rarely heard clarinet) and tenor saxophonist Frank Wess, while the rhythm section (pianist Hugh Lawson, bassist Ray Drummond, and drummer Bobby Durham) swings in a Basie vein. The sextet plays five veteran standards and two original blues (Edison's familiar "Centerpiece" and Tate's "Blue Creek") and, although not quite essential, this is an excellent late-period recording by Edison, Tate, and Wess.

Beautiful Loser winds up sounding more like Back in '72 than its immediate predecessor, Seven, largely because Bob Seger threaded reflective ballads and mid-tempo laments back into his hard-driving rock. He doesn't shy away from it, either, opening with the lovely title track. And why shouldn't he? These ballads were as much a part of his success as his storming rockers, since his sentimental streak seemed all the more genuine when contrasted with the rockers…

In 2018, the last ton of hard coal was extracted. This marked the end of the era of over 100 years of mining in the Ruhr region. Together with poetry slammer Jason Bartsch, the Ensemble Ruhr illuminates the structural change after the end of mining in words and music. With the project "Fields of the Ruhr" they succeed in a unique symbiosis of slam poetry and classical music. "The world is everything that is the case. And this case has the following factual situation: In the origin of a harsh sound lies aesthetics, not noise.

Electric Dreams is a soundtrack album from the film Electric Dreams, released in 1984.
Several popular rock and new wave musicians of the 1980s contributed original music to the film's soundtrack. The song "Together in Electric Dreams" by Philip Oakey and Giorgio Moroder was released as a single and became an international hit in 1984. It was later featured in their album Philip Oakey & Giorgio Moroder (1985). Another song, "Video!" by Jeff Lynne, was also released as a single (with a non-album track, "Sooner or Later", as the B-side). The soundtrack features two new recordings by Culture Club - "The Dream" and "Love Is Love" - as well as songs performed by Culture Club member Helen Terry ("Now You're Mine") and written by Boy George and Roy Hay ("Electric Dreams", by PP Arnold).
