This is a delightful set, a program of eight Brazilian tunes and three of pianist Joanne Brackeen's originals. With strong assistance provided by bassist Eddie Gomez, drummer Duduka da Fonseca and percussionist Waltinho Anastacio, Brackeen adds beauty and adventure to such numbers as "Recado Bossa Nova," "Estate," "The Island" and a pair of Milton Nascimento songs. The pianist stretches the songs a bit in spots but never neglects their melodies or the original moods. Well worth several listens.

Parlophone Records (BMG in the US) will continue their reissues series of the IRON MAIDEN catalogue with the fourth set of Digipak CD titles in The Studio Collection – Remastered, to be released on November 22nd. Following on from 2014/2017’s black vinyl releases and 2015’s Mastered for iTunes project, The Studio Collection – Remastered features recordings taken from the same remasters as the 2015 hi-res digital releases. The albums supersede the previously available studio catalogue and all titles are also available on streaming platforms.

UK metal icons Iron Maiden have announced the third round of releases in their The Studio Collection Remastered digipack series. The latest batch will be unleashed on July 26, and will comprise Fear Of The Dark, The X Factor, Virtual XI and Brave New World. The collection follows on from the band’s 2014-2017 vinyl releases, and are from the same remasters as the 2015 hi-res digital albums. The first four albums to emerge in the series were Iron Maiden, Killers, The Number Of The Beast and Piece Of Mind, which came out in November 2018. They were followed by Powerslave, Somewhere In Time, Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son and No Prayer For The Dying in March.
As with the previous releases, one CD from each batch of releases has been made available in a specially designed box featuring a 1:24 scale figurine Maiden mascot Eddie and an exclusive patch. Fear Of The Dark has been selected for the collector's edition treatment this time around.

Fragile are the original European YES tribute project and have toured the UK & Europe in various line-ups for the past 20 years. This included live dates/tours with Steve Howe in 2005-2007 and appearances with Alan White & Rick Wakemen. Following 20 years of performing Yes music, the band are no longer performing live but now write/record original Yes inspired music.
They released their second album "Beyond" in August 2021 with 3 long tracks of pure symphonic prog.

François Jeanneau is a French jazz saxophonist, flautist, and composer. Jeanneau studied flute under René Leroy at the Paris Conservatory, but was an autodidact on saxophone. He began playing professionally in 1960 at the Club Saint Germain, then worked in the big band of Jef Gilson and in a sextet with François Tusques. In the late 1960s and early 1970s he was a member of the band Triangle (fr). He won the Prix Django Reinhardt in 1980 and was the first leader of the Orchestre National de Jazz in 1986.
