"Big Band Bossa Nova: The Newest Latin American Rhythm" is a 1962 bossa nova album by American impresario, jazz composer, trumpeter, arranger and record producer Quincy Jones and his band. It features the popular number "Soul Bossa Nova". The title "Big Band Bossa Nova" was also used for three other 1962 albums, by Stan Getz, Oscar Castro-Neves and Enoch Light.

Another jazz classic that engineer Rudy Van Gelder recorded and digitally upgraded, Worktime is considered among Sonny Rollins's best albums. Recorded with Ray Bryant on piano, bassist George Morrow and the incomparable Max Roach on drums, this album was made shortly after Rollins came East as a member of the Max Roach/Clifford Brown group.

The genesis of the duet partnership of pianist Jacky Terrasson and trumpeter/flugelhornist Stephane Belmondo stretches back 30 years. Close friends from their days living and playing in Paris and then while band mates in vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater’s groups in the mid-‘90s, the pair enjoyed a simpatico musical relationship. But they lost contact over the years until six years ago when they reconnected and played a duo show in the south of France. The first recording of Johann Carl Bischoff's Six Sonatas for Cello performed by Claudio Ronco and Emanuela Vozza on period instruments. Johann Carl Bischoff (1747-1800) was a a German composer and a virtuoso cellist. He became a member of the court orchestra of the Duke of Anhalt-Dessau in the 1770s. In 1793, Bischoff invented a cello-like instrument, which he named the Harmonicello. The instrument had five bowed gut strings and ten sympathetic metal ones.
