Released in 2003, and the first on their own label Superior Quality Recordings, “Luxembourg” was the band’s fourth album and features the singles “Fast Boy”/”Liquid Lips” and “Never Going Nowhere”. As The Guardian review said at the time, “You can't fault their ever-lush harmonies, though, or the garage-band scrappiness that gives ‘Here It Comes Again’ its appeal”.

Chad Wesley is a Soul-Rock force like no other. After releasing his debut album ‘The Liberation LP’ in August of 2016, Wesley & his band have continued to perform on the Southeastern U.S. Club & Festival Circuit creating a near viral buzz that’s spreading like a wildfire.

With ‘Lysning’ – in English a clearing or forest glade – the violin and Hardanger fiddle virtuoso and composer Nils Økland has created a landmark recording that counts as his masterpiece thus far. It is also the synthesis and culmination of a long career working between different forms – folk music, art music from the baroque to free improvisation, jazz, rock, whatever – where Økland, who is now 56, has continued to pursue the same questing approach irrespective of the restrictive rules and boundaries used to separate different historical or generic styles.

From the ashes of the acclaimed Ohio rock band Buffalo Killers, singers/ songwriters/siblings Zachary and Andrew Gabbard have re-emerged as The Gabbard Brothers. And while there are still similarities to their previous band - with nods to greats like Neil Young, James Gang and Buffalo Springfield - there's a hazier, organic, earthy-psych vibe running through the brothers' new music.

Acquiring life skills during a challenging, fragile phase of life learning to belong, to feel seen and included, learning to build friendships all of this lies at the core of the Nidaros Cathedral Girls' Choir's mission. The Requiem in Andrew Smith's version, commissioned by the choir, is loosely based on the Roman Catholic mass for the dead. Several of the texts of the traditional Requiem Mass have been replaced, however, with biblical references to the tragic fate of children, reflecting the all-too-frequent conflicts of today in which the young are innocent victims. The musical material in the Requiem takes its inspiration from Gregorian chant. Melodic fragments of the ancient Requiem mass can be heard in the background. These works add dimensions of faith, hope and love. And light too, when all seems dark. In life there are moments to treasure, and challenges to overcome.

Pussycat emerged during the 1970s thanks to the musical aspirations of the Kowalczyk sisters – Tonny Willé, Betty Drastra, and Marianne Hensen. Growing up in Limburg, Netherlands, the girls first came to the public's attention as Zingende Zusjes (the Singing Sisters), with a well-received repertoire of German-language songs. Adding a female drummer to the brew, the group completely revamped its sound and changed its name, becoming the BG's from Holland – a direct nod to the burgeoning big beat movement sweeping the country, and the youthful assumption that they would break out of their local scene…

Black Sabbath's vocalist and drummer, Ronnie James Dio and Vinny Appice, broke off from Sabbath to form Dio with two others, Jimmy Bain and Vivian Campbell. The resulting debut album was loved by the press and went platinum in the US while also climbing up the charts in several other countries. In the US Billboard Top 200 Albums, it peaked at #56.

The brainchild of bandleader, arranger, and pianist John Beasley, "MONK'estra" is a project which creatively reimagines the music of the legendary Thelonious Monk. The present release is the second album in this series and brings Monk classics such as Light Blue and Played Twice into a 21st-century soundworld, making for a unique and invigorating jazz experience.
