On Friday, August 5, 2022, Chickasaw composer and U.S. Cultural Ambassador Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate will release a new album, Winter Moons, on Azica Records. Winter Moons is a ballet in four movements based upon American Indian legends from the Northern Plains and Rocky Mountains, performed with a live storyteller to guide the audience. The title of the ballet is derived from the ancient idea that American Indian stories - some serious historical narratives, and others lighthearted bedtime stories for children, but all usually carrying a moral - are best told during the full moons of the wintertime.

The third in the series of Jem Records Celebrates series focuses on The Who's Pete Townshend. With contributions from the Jem Family of artists, the album continues the label's salute to the greatest of rock writers.

It’s with great excitement and much nostalgia, that today we have the pleasure of announcing a full length record’s worth of (circa. 2012) material from the real unsung heroes of the Geelong music scene; The Frowning Clouds. The band who started it all for what we refer to as the thriving music scene that currently remains in Geelong. Anti Fade for one, would not exist without The Frowning Clouds; the biggest musical influence a pimply teen growing up in Geelong could ever ask for.

Though it was recorded in an assortment of rooms and hotels across California, Nevada, Texas, and Oklahoma, Tourist feels remarkably durable. Abney sees it as a companion piece to his 2020 Familiar Ground album but there’s a lightness here that was less pronounced previously, a kind of woozy solace you find in travel, in embracing the unpredictable. Using his personal portable studio, this is no troubadour with a busted guitar story, instead, Abney grows his songs, weaving drum machines, samplers, and synthesizers into the songs, fleshing the recordings out with sole collaborator John Moreland, who performed his parts and mixed from his own studio, using the internet to create the album over even longer distances.

“Other Worlds” is yet another testament to Bono’s inventiveness as a guitarist and composer. Ever present are his sensitive, virtuosic ideas. What’s new is the electrified edge — especially in his guitar and in Li’s keyboards, and the interstellar places they take these songs. “I wanted it to be a floaty, dreamy, ethereal soundscape,” explains Bono, who began composing the album after reading Alan Lightman’s surrealist science fiction novel Einstein’s Dreams. It is exactly the sort of creativity listeners have come to recognize in Bono across his previous four albums.

Music of the transition: An interesting compilation presented here by Daniel Huppert and the Bergische Symphoniker. The 2nd Violin Concerto by Sergei Prokofiev (soloist: David Nebel), is combined with Symphony No. 25 by Nikolai Myaskovsky. The programme is complemented by the arrangement of the piece "Masks" from Prokofiev's ballet "Romeo and Juliet" for violin and orchestra, made especially for this recording.

Pamela McNeill, "Neon Lightning." Lyrically and musically this new album by the Twin Cities singer is as breathtaking as the title suggests. Insightful, funny and thought-provoking lyrics coupled with masterful musicianship makes this a standout CD. McNeill's vocals and songwriting shine as bright as neon lightning.

Sasha Miller is the pseudonym of American fantasy writer Georgia Myrle Miller (born October 15, 1933 in Erick, Oklahoma). She has also written under the names Georgia Sallaska, Myrle Benedict, and G. S. Madden.

This is Mickey’s first album release of new recordings in nearly forty years. That’s quite some time. Just think what you were up to forty years ago and what’s happened to you since! He is quite often referred to as the godfather of pub rock and was once referred to as a “white Chuck Berry” by a DJ.

In July of 1955 when the music in this album was recorded, none of the principals concerned had any idea that the tapes would one day find themselves on the market. The purpose was merely to record material suitable for demonstrations. As a result the performers were under no strain whatever, and the playing clearly shows a spontaneity and vitality that one seldom hears outside of live and informal performances. In keeping with the nature of the music, intimate microphone placement was employed with the result that certain extra-musical sounds are clearly audible at times.

The Circus is the second studio album by Erasure, originally released in March 1987. It was Erasure's second consecutive album to be produced by Flood. "The Circus" became the duo's breakthrough in the UK, spawning four hit singles and reaching number six. It was an immediate success thanks to the number two UK placing of the first single "Sometimes", six months earlier. The album remains Erasure's longest-running on the UK charts.
