Chronicle, Vol. 1, also known as Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits, is a greatest hits album by the American swamp rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival. It was released in January 1976 by Fantasy Records. The edited version of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" featured on the album was simultaneously released as a single.

This ALL STAR group gathered to celebrate Art Blakey's 70th Birthday on October 9th 1989. The concert at the Leverkusen Jazz Festival was recorded for broadcast on German television station ZDF.

Although they weren't as boldly innovative as the Beatles or as popular as the Rolling Stones or the Who, the Kinks were one of the most influential bands of the British Invasion. Like most bands of their era, the Kinks began as an R&B/blues outfit. Within four years, the band had become the most staunchly English of all their contemporaries, drawing heavily from British music hall and traditional pop, as well as incorporating elements of country, folk, and blues.

Thankfully, a large part of Popol Vuh's discography has come back into print the last few years- I bought this on iTunes, and I'm glad I did. By the 1980s, the spiritual side of Florian Fricke's vision had come to the forefront.

'Tantric Songs' is the english titled release of already existing tracks, that were released between 1978 and 1979 (mainly from the sessions for the soundtrack of Werner Herzog's 'Nosferatu') on 'Brüder des Schattens - Söhne des Lichts' (1978) and 'Die Nacht der Seele' (1979).

Essential: a masterpiece of progressive rock music.
This is one isn't one of my favourite POPOL VUH albums although it's still very good. The side long title track is the highlight here with it's medieval chants repeated over and over.
