Road Songs for Lovers is the twenty-fourth studio album by British singer-songwriter Chris Rea, released on 29 September 2017. Rea stated there was no initial intention to make a new album, but after a bad medical condition in 2016 he started to write new songs which eventually led to a band regroup, and first album release in six years. The songs were inspired by traveling on the road to London, seeing couples in cars and questioning the "people's love stories inside cars".

"Watching and Waiting" was released as a single to promote the album, but sold poorly. On the other hand, "Gypsy (Of a Strange and Distant Time)" became a fan and album oriented rock radio favorite, despite never being released as a single, and remained in the band's concert setlist through the 1970s.

Initially released as a double vinyl album, Twin Freaks saw Paul in partnership with the DJ and producer Freelance Hellraiser, alias Roy Kerr. Best-known at the time for his genre-defying mash-up album A Stroke Of Genius, Kerr had become a sought-after remixer. In the summer of 2004, he toured Europe with Paul, opening each show with a 25-minute set of remixed McCartney songs, the tour culminating with a famous headline performance at Glastonbury.

Here's another album I was exposed to as a kid through my parents. Little did I know that the kind of music presented on this album would later define my own personal taste in music: prog rock.

Excellent addition to any prog rock music collection.
Man's last studio album before they split up for the first time in 1977 and fortunately they went out on a high. Sometimes criticised for it's smooth production and maybe it is a little but it works well with the material on this album.

Essential: a masterpiece of progressive rock music.
Be Good To Yourself At Least Once A Day is a bit of classic in the Man catalogue, not least because it contains the classics C'mon and Bananas which have been live favourites since this release in 1972.
