The band co-produced the album with the same team of producers they worked with on their debut album, Diamond Life, including Robin Millar, Mike Pela and Ben Rogan. The album's title comes from a letter from Adu's father where he refers to the "promise of hope" to recover from cancer.

Veteran jazz producer Creed Taylor decided to sign Nina Simone to his record label after seeing her perform live in 1977 at Drury Lane, and together they would record "Baltimore," Simone's first album since 1974's It Is Finished. Sessions for the album were very tense, with Simone disagreeing with Taylor's production choices—particularly his interest in a reggae sound, which first caused Simone to ask "What is this corny stuff?" Simone's difficult behavior delayed production, but she would eventually record her vocals for the album in a single hour-long sitting.

The new album, All This Will Be Yours, builds on Soord's momentum gained by TPT's multiple headline Europe and UK tours in support of 2018 UK #1 Rock album Dissolution and 2016 summer hit album Your Wilderness. Dissolution also reached #22 in the German album chart, #4 in the Netherlands Platomania album chart and #14 in the Finland album chart. A prolific musician, Soord has also previously collaborated with Katatonias Jonas Renkse on fan-favourite album Wisdom of Crowds and produced 5.1 mixes for the likes of Katatonia, Opeth & Anathema.

Briton Rex Orange County first became known to the general public after taking part in the track Tyler, The Creator "Boredom". Tyler has a special love for artists who record non-standard, but very emotional music. He mixes jazz, soul, classical, baroque pop, hip-hop and electronica in his sound, so it is easier to classify it as an alternative to streaming platforms and publications. It seems that this is how the artist who grew up on the work of Stevie Wonder, Weezer and Queen should sound like this.

'Brightness' is the self-titled sophomore LP from Sydney artist Alex Knight, recorded in upstate New York with producer Sam Griffin Owens (Cass McCombs, Chris Cohen, Sam Evian), Regarding the recording process, Knight affirms "the location and pairing (with Owens) couldn't have been more fitting". The location was specifically, 'Spillway Sound', a freshly opened studio nestled in the Catskills, a spread of nature known to stir wonder in those who've beheld it, from the addled attendees of Woodstock Festival, to 19th century transcendentalist, Ralph Waldo Emerson. Having already shared singles 'Dallas' and 'Year Of The Goat', the 'Brightness' LP marks the first glimpse of Knight's follow up on 2017's 'Teething' (a work which Pitchfork described as a "dry, beautiful debut"). If his first two singles are any indication, we can expect a sophomore record of deeper contour, contrast and confidence.
