Euphrates River is the sixth album by American singing group The Main Ingredient. Released in 1974, the album charted at number 8 on the Soul albums chart in the U.S. In addition to the standard 2 channel stereo version, the album was also released in a 4 channel quadraphonic version in 1976. The quad LP was encoded using the Compatible Discrete 4 system. This album was reissued in the UK on the Super Audio CD format in 2016 by Dutton Vocalion. The release contains both the stereo and quad mixes.

Seven Steps to Heaven is the eighth studio album on Columbia Records by jazz musician Miles Davis, released in 1963. Recorded at Columbia's 30th Street Studios in Manhattan, and at Columbia Studios in Los Angeles, it presents the Miles Davis Quintet in transition.

The album may suggest the progeny of a John Carpenter, Wendy Carlos, and Mike Oldfield marriage, but it stands apart from these touchstones and generates a meditative universe all its own. This is no mere curio in the Sufjan Stevens catalog - but a fully realized collaborative musical piece.

This album contains the earliest three of Schubert's piano sonatas Llŷr Williams included in his Cardiff series (there are eight earlier works in the genre—in varying states of completion). All three remained unpublished until after the composer's death, and together they mark Schubert's journey into composing maturity.

The Canadian pianist Louis Lortie returns with the second volume of his overview of the solo piano works of Gabriel Fauré. The two major works in this recital are the Ballade, Op. 19 and the Thème et variations, Op. 73. The earlier Ballade shows Fauré’s debt to Liszt, whilst the Thème et variations was modelled on Schumann’s Études symphoniques. The rest of the programme consists of shorter Nocturnes and Barcarolles, and is book-ended by the Pie Jesu and In paradisum from the Requiem – Fauré’s bestknown work – in transcriptions by Louis Lortie himself.

The Beethoven 250th anniversary on 17 December 2020 is an event of national significance in Germany. 2020 is the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, and this album presents three works that reshape the composer’s awe-inspiring music for the 21st century. The Sonata for Orchestra considers how the Violin Sonata No. 7 would sound had it been written for orchestra, while A Fidelio Symphony transforms vocal lines into symphonic textures to take us through the entire arc of the composer’s sole opera. Based on the famous "Ode to Joy" of Beethoven’s final symphony, BEETHOVEN9 Symphonic Remix uses loops, grooves and musical transformations to create a contemporary tribute to Beethoven’s universal message.

1905 was a year of revolutionary upheaval in pre-Soviet Russia. Shostakovich based this work on the events of one episode of that year, when thousands of workers and their families converged on the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg to petition the Tsar over their working and living conditions. The Tsar had been advised to leave, no-one was there to accept the petition, and the authorities resorted to cavalry charges to disperse the crowd. With 200 dead and 500 wounded, this incident damaged the Tsar’s reputation and flamed the fire of revolution in the masses.
