The Ambiguity Manifesto, the latest album from composer, cornetist and bandleader Taylor Ho Bynum. The music is designed to blur the lines between composition and improvisation, between individual and ensemble, between genres, timbres, and instrumentations; it celebrates the beauty and necessity of the unknown and the indefinable, the enigmatic and the subversive.

The trio consists of three experienced musicians with plenty of previous collaborations and accolades. Tortusa has been making music together with Eivind Aarset and Jan Bang, and was nominated for the Norwegian Grammy for his solo album released on Jazzland Recordings in 2016. Simen Kiil Halvorsen and Alexander Hoholm have newly released an album with saxophonist Andrew D'Angelo, and all three of them have received several awards and grants for their musical productions.

It was certified Gold on July 15, 1999 by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Like Alanis Morissette, Macy Gray has the unenviable task of her work always being measured against her brilliant debut album, On How Life Is. One of the most joyous releases of the decade, its blend of pop and soul seemed to captivate everyone who heard it. Since then Gray's appeared on the big screen (in Training Day and Spiderman), guested on songs for Santana and Fatboy Slim, and in 2001 tried to recreate the formula of her debut on a follow-up album, The Id - with diminishing returns.

Bart Van Reyn and Le Concert d’Anvers delve into two of Joseph Haydn’s lesser–known symphonies. Dating from the autumn of 1784, when Haydn was nearing the end of his employment at the Esterházy court, both seem to anticipate the Paris symphonies that would shortly follow. Having been largely overlooked by historically informed performance specialists, Van Reyn’s reading highlights the pair’s mutual sense of artistic ambition, drawing out their concise but powerful musical drama. These are accompanied with Haydn’s effervescent Piano Concerto in D major, featuring Belgian fortepianist Lucas Blondeel. Blondeel demonstrates his clear affinity with Haydn’s solo writing, rendering a performance that captures the concerto’s elegance while always sparkling with its composer’s characteristic wit.

Mariama was born in Sierra Leone but raised in Germany. 'Love, Sweat And Tears' is her second album and is inspired by her travels throughout Europe and Africa. Part of an ongoing search for artistic freedom and independence, the record's fourteen songs create a beautiful sonic excursion, shifting from soft and melancholic melodies to vibrant, danceable songs that encompass acoustic Soul-Folk and electronic R&B. Mariama is currently based in Paris and met most of the musicians who play on the album in the city, including drummer Georges Diémé (also a master of percussion instruments such as cajon, congas and udu), Abdoulaye Kouyaté (kora and guitar), Jean-Baptiste Soulard (keyboards and synthesizer), Wendy Milton (piano) and bassist Hilaire Penda (who has played on albums by Susheela Raman, Tony Allen, Salif Keita, Youssou N'dour and more).

A power station
Many see this as a disappointing album by Yes, and its easy to understand why. The music is far removed from "Close to the edge", "Fragile" etc,. In place of the lengthy prog compositions we have an almost AOR sound, closer to the music of say Styx or Toto.

Kemmler's career began as a member of a trio named Hubert Kah, consisting of Hubert Kemmler (vocals, keyboards), Markus Löhr (guitars, keyboards) and Klaus Hirschburger (bass) at the time of the New German wave 1982 commercial success with the singles "Rosemarie", "Sternenhimmel" ("Starry Sky") and "Einmal Nur Mit Erika… (Dieser Welt Entfliehn)" ("Just Once With Erika … To Escape This World"), and with the albums Meine Höhepunkte ("My High Points") and Ich Komme ("I'm Coming"). During this time, Kemmler caused quite a stir by his TV appearances, wearing a nightdress or straitjacket. Before Kemmler's music career, he studied law at the University of Tübingen.
