God Bless America is a 2001 charity album composed of American patriotic or spiritual songs, released on October 16 of that year in the wake of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. It was released specifically to benefit the Twin Towers Fund, directing what the album cover said would be a "substantial portion of the proceeds" towards families of firefighters, police officers, and other responders lost in the rescue response to the September 11 attacks. The artists and recordings featured were largely from Columbia Records.

Founded in the vibrant musical haven of Brussels in 2015, Azmari have been crafting a truly unique tapestry of musical exploration. First formed in the early '50s, the Isley Brothers enjoyed one of the longest, most influential, and most diverse careers in the pantheon of popular music – over the course of nearly a half-century of performing, the group's distinguished history spanned not only two generations of Isley siblings but also massive cultural shifts, which heralded their music's transformation from gritty R&B to Motown soul to blistering funk. The first generation of Isley siblings was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where they were encouraged to begin a singing career by their father, himself a professional vocalist, and their mother, a church pianist who provided musical accompaniment at their early performances. Initially a gospel quartet, the group was comprised of Ronald, Rudolph, O'Kelly, and Vernon Isley; after Vernon's 1955 death in a bicycling accident, tenor Ronald was tapped as the remaining trio's lead vocalist. In 1957, the brothers went to New York City to record a string of failed doo wop singles; while performing a spirited reading of the song "Lonely Teardrops" in Washington, D.C. two years later, they interjected the line "You know you make me want to shout," which inspired frenzied audience feedback.

Live Trax Vol. 60 takes us back to 1995, finding the band in the middle of forging a now classic sound; with a twist. David Ryan Harris, who was touring in support of DMB as part of Dionne Farris’ band, sits on electric guitar to add some firepower to Rhyme & Reason and Jimi Thing. Near the end of a segue way laced set, Dave gives a glimpse into the future with a solo acoustic version of an early Raven, with Little Thing folded in throughout. Listening back to this era, with its equal parts intimacy and intensity should be a joy for fans of any era of the band!

Dave Matthews Band wrapped up touring in the Fall of 2000 with a run that took them through Gund Arena in December. At this point in time songs like JTR and Bartender were still new to fans but developing into fast favorites. Those songs coupled with proven crowd pleasers from the band’s catalogue make for a very strong setlist that plays out beautifully onstage.

Another Stoney Evening is the sixth album by the duo of David Crosby and Graham Nash, issued in 1998 on Grateful Dead Records, catalog GDCD 4057. It had been recorded at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, California more than 26 years prior to its release.

It was Thursday November 30th 2022. We took to the stage at the Komedia in Bath, our first UK tour since Dingwalls in 2017. We had our ever-patient compadre Rob Reed and his troupe of cheerful professionals in tow and not only did they have a load of top-of-the-range cameras with them, they had the talent and expertise to make us look presentable. We were determined to succeed and well…we only went and bloody did it, didn’t we? What we have here is that very film, on a glorious Blu-ray, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.

Where U2 announced their bid for global infamy. And as Ghalia Volt reminds us, exactly thirty years ago, it was here that near-mythical producer and Queens Of The Stone Age conspirator David Catching founded the fabled Rancho de la Luna studio that would bring a stream of dust-blown musicians to his door like moths to a candle.

John Lee Hooker was the king of the endless boogie, a globally cherished bluesman whose droning, hypnotic, one-chord grooves were driving, primitive, and timeless. During a 50-year career, he melded regional sounds from the Delta, Detroit, and Chicago in a trademark, oft-imitated approach. From the late 1940s until 1969, he cut more than 100 singles for labels such as Modern, Chess, Federal, Atco, and Vee-Jay, including hits such as "I'm in the Mood," "Hobo Blues," "Boogie Chillen," "Crawling Kingsnake," and "Boom Boom." In 1966 he resurrected and reinvented the '50s R&B hit "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" and made it his own. He spent most of the '70s and '80s touring. 1989's The Healer initiated a charting, award-winning, five-album run of Hooker recording new songs and revisioning some of his classics backed by well-known contemporary guests. His commercial success led to Mr. Lucky in 1991, 1995's Chill Out, and 1997's Don't Look Back, a multi-Grammy-winning, album-length collaboration with Van Morrison. Hooker was born in Tutwiler, Mississippi in 1912. He was the youngest of 11 children born to Minnie Ramsey and husband William Hooker, a sharecropper and Baptist preacher. The children were all homeschooled and only permitted to listen to religious songs sung in church. In 1921, Hooker's parents separated.

Although Introspection bombed due to a belated release, collectors have since heralded it as one of the finest albums from the brief British psychedelic wave. Produced by Rolling Stone Bill Wyman in early 1968, the spirit of the era (or maybe that of the previous summer) is sonically created, with sumptuous results. Giffin and Graham's gentle harmony vocals tread a similar path to Odessey and Oracle-era Zombies, while sessionman Nicky Hopkins' harpsichord, a pumping Hammond, Terry Taylor's searing Cream-like fuzztone guitar leads, psychedelic duel-ragas, and floating Mellotron recreate the colors of a rainbow. The overall effect is psych-pop rather than acid-inspired mayhem, although the drifting ambience of the production, lyricism, and instrumentation could not be anything else than a product of psychedelia…

The return to form that began on 2016's Dystopia continues with The Sick, the Dying…and the Dead!, the 16th studio album from metal institution Megadeth. As with Dystopia, Megadeth ringleader Dave Mustaine and his bandmates focus on precision thrash, this time around turning in a tighter, cleaner batch of songs that feel both intently focused and streamlined for maximum intensity. The time leading up to the album wasn't an easy one for the band, however, and the six years that passed between the last record and this one stand as the longest time between new material in the band's nearly 40-year history. The turbulent time spent working on The Sick included not just Mustaine being diagnosed with and aggressively treated for throat cancer but also Megadeth co-founder and bassist David Ellefson leaving the band due to his involvement in a sex scandal…
