The Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and Philippe Herreweghe have enjoyed a close relationship since 1997, and the Ghent conductor regularly conducts and records with the Flanders orchestra. After the Second and Fourth Symphonies (LPH032), they are continuing their exploration of Schumann's symphonies: " The symphony has given me many hours of joy. I often give thanks to the beneficent spirit that enabled me to complete such an important work so easily and in such a short time " says the tormented composer. He wrote his first symphony, "Spring", in just four days and orchestrated it in three weeks. The third, known as the "Rhenish", was inspired by a day Schumann spent with his wife Clara in the Rhineland.

After a first recital devoted to the Toccata, Andrea Buccarella, winner of the MA Festival competition in Bruges in 2018, now presents an album devoted to the Fantasia. This album follows the same anthological principles as the first and includes both Italian and German compositions from the origins of the genre in Venice at the beginning of the 17th century to its apogee in the following century with Johann Sebastian Bach.

The harpist hooked up with a young Maryland-based band called Tough Luck for this disc, certainly one of his better outings. The traditional mindset of the combo pushed Bell back to his roots, whether on the originals "Just like You" and the Horton homage "Big Walter Strut" or revivals of Muddy Waters' "Short Dress Woman" and "Walking Thru the Park" and the classic Little Walter title cut.

Don't be fooled by that average-looking front cover (with some additional, eco-messages saved on), please… Released as early as in 1970 (and still relatively unknown) the only Lost Nation LP included a powerfull dose of the very British influenced progressive rock, reminiscent of still non-existent Beggars Opera (also in vocal department) - with strong influences of early Deep Purple. This very underrated but truly great album was dominated by fairly extensive, 6-7-minute compositions based on the sound of Hammond organ, some tasteful Blackmore-ish guitar parts and very busy drumming. In a sense it's quite unique record because in 1970 not so many US bands played uncompromising and freshly sounding progressive rock!

'Las Vegas Closing Night 1972' a 2 CD Deluxe Set that features a live performance recorded on 4 September 1972, during the last night of Elvis' seventh engagement in Las Vegas at the Hilton Hotel. The show is presented in stereo. A bonus CD of remastered rehearsal tracks, recorded days before the engagement began, is also included.

Trumpeter Jeremy Pelt, 25 years old, has garnered notice since landing in New York, four years ago, for his superb charts and professionalism. The album is a bit fragmented, containing a few Julie Driscoll solo tracks, as well as some Auger/Trinity efforts without Driscoll. One of the most amazing moments opens the record: Driscoll's solo hit (in Europe), "I Know You Love Me Not." A swirling, churning string arrangement - not unlike a psychedelic Phil Spector - is the ground work for Driscoll's steely vocals. She come across as a combination of Dusty Springfield and Annie Lennox with a passionate performance. It's truly one of the great lost British records of the era, and alone is worth the price of the record…
