Don Airey's discography is definitely one of the most impressive for any British musician. It is hard to find a name between all those that in the last 30 years have left a mark in the history of rock that has not worked with him at some point. To name the most obvious of Don Airey s associations: Ozzy Osbourne, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Gary Moore, Brian May, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath and, obviously, Deep Purple, the band Don Airey has been a full time member of for over ten years. Don Airey has never been a session player. Bands and artists have worked with him for his unique musical vision, for the twist he could give to songs.

TRIX was formed in 2004, led by drummer Noriaki Kumagai (ex-Casiopea), with bassist Mitsuru Sutoh (ex-T-Square) and now guitarist Yuya Komoguchi and keyboardist AYAKI has joined the group. Their very ear-catcy music with thrilling techniques, and entertaining stage performance have been widely accepted among fans. Some of their songs are featured as the main theme of TV programs.

For Volume 50, a stellar cast has been assembled for a two-disc set that includes, unusually, one of the most famous concertos in the repertoire. Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No 1 has certainly achieved warhorse status—but in the expert hands of Stephen Hough it is a new creature. Talmi's account offers plenty of interest in any case, even if you're already steeped in performances of the work. This account has plenty of fire and imagination at its best, and at the price it's certainly worth a listen.

Originally released as two separate albums on Bunny Wailer's own Solomonic label, this CD brings together the dub versions of songs from Blackheart Man, his solo debut, and Bunny Wailer Sings the Wailers, his tribute to the band he originally founded with Peter Tosh and Bob Marley.

Grammy Award-winning, Chicago-based percussion quartet Third Coast Percussion teams up with influential, genre-defying multi-instrumentalist, record producer, songwriter, singer, and composer Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange) for an album of imaginative, evocative instrumental music created as the live soundtrack for choreography by the adventurous Hubbard Street Dance Chicago company. The album’s three works, all world-premiere recordings, represent Hynes’s debut on disc as a classical composer. In Perfectly Voiceless, Philip Glass-style minimalism gives way to a catchy pop melody. There Was Nothing blends synthesizer sounds with bowed mallet percussion instruments and moments of meditative lyricism recall the music of Lou Harrison.

After the success of Platinum Rare VOL 1 for RSD 2021, Prudential Music Group went back through the personal vault of Sweet lead guitarist Andy Scott, to find more amazing alternate takes, demos, and mixes of classic SWEET songs. Many of these listed tracks never saw the light of day on any SWEET release which will make this collection incredibly in demand for the starving classic SWEET collector looking for more rarities. Written and recorded during 50 Lockdown Days in January / February 2021, Alarm fans could only ever get hand- made copies of this record when it was completed on February 25th 2021 with lead singer Mike Peters determined to wipe the tapes on the same day, but now we have the official retail release of Omega. The music is as good as anything The Alarm has ever created, from the opening Protect and Survive to their unique take on the Massive Attack classic Safe From Harm which features an unexpected duet between Mike Peters and Skindred frontman Benji Webbe.

Ella Fitzgerald's final recording is a bit sad. At the age of 71, she no longer had much range or power and she could only hint at her former greatness. Her sidemen (who include such veterans as trumpeters Harry "Sweets" Edison and Clark Terry, trombonist Al Grey, pianists Kenny Barron and Mike Wofford, bassist Ray Brown, drummer Bobby Durham, and the apparently ageless altoist Benny Carter) do their best but this noble effort is more important historically than musically.

Eric Alexander is in top form throughout this 2007 quartet session with some of his favorite bandmates, including David Hazeltine, bassist John Webber, and drummer Joe Farnsworth, all four of whom are members of the group One for All and regular participants on the Manhattan jazz scene in clubs and studios…
