Loonypark was formed in 2007 in Krakow, Poland, by Krzysztof Lepiarczyk (keys) and Jakub Grzesło (drums). The line-up was soon completed by vocalist Sabina Godula-Zając (Liquid Shadow), guitarist Piotr Grodecki and bassist Piotr Lipka (both of whom had played with Krzysztof in Meteopata). Jakub left before the second album, to be replaced by Grzegorz Fieber (also from Meteopata). All of the band members are session musicians with Krzysztof playing in Polish Mess (along with Piotr L and Grzegorz), Sticky Hands, Padre and others. For those who know Padre, that is an acoustic project, while Loonypark has no restrictions on what they are trying to do. Krzysztof is currently working on the next Loonypark album, after which they are planning to play live.

Born in Budapest, the drummer and bandleader of German descent László (Leslie) Mandoki belonged to the 1970s' student opposition in communist Hungary. Far beyond the system-conform mainstream, his Jazz-Rock formation "JAM" symbolized the longing for a free world. In 1975, he was forced to leave the country because of governmental repression. Accompanied by his two closest friends, László Bencker and Gábor Csupó, their flight was followed by a long odyssey. On his quest for freedom, he found more than that: a new home - in Germany.

In the early 1980s, among the flat-out future maniacs of the hard rock L.A. music scene, a group of musicians came together to form the band known as Fortune. Deriving its name from founders Richard and Mick Fortune, the band quickly became a favorite on the whiskey, beer, and brawl scene which, galvanized by a thousand volts, culminated in the year 1985 with the self-titled LP "Fortune".

AFTER ITS RENEWED EXPOSURE AS THE OPENING THEME SONG TO DEUTSCHLAND ’83, PETER SCHILLING’S MAJOR TOM IS COMING HOME AGAIN… By the early 1980s, new wave had edged closer to bombastic pop than its punk origins, no doubt influenced by David Bowie’s shift from new wave pioneer of the 1970s to his New Romantic pop of 1980. Furthermore, the song was an answer to Bowie’s Space Oddity. Peter Schilling’s debut album ERROR IN THE SYSTEM actually arrived a year earlier in Germany (FEHLER IM SYSTEM) (1982) before Elektra released the record in English. What is even more surprising is the durability the record had given how fleeting new wave pop could be in terms of commercial presence. ‘MAJOR TOM’ may have provided Peter with the best hook to gain an international audience but the album boasted even more melodic (and melancholic) anthems. ‘ONLY DREAMS’, ‘LIFETIME GUARANTEE’ and ‘I HAVE NO DESIRE’ are also highlights.

"Family Reunion" is a 1975 album by American R&B group The O'Jays. The album was released in late 1975 on the Philadelphia International Records label. Recorded at Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia, and produced by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, Family Reunion includes the enduring classic "I Love Music" and "Livin' for the Weekend", both of which topped the R&B singles chart, and placed at #5 and #20 respectively on the pop chart. The ballad "Stairway to Heaven", originally issued as the B-side to "Livin' for the Weekend" and unrelated to the Led Zeppelin song of the same name, has also gone on to become a staple of quiet storm radio programming. While the title track did not chart, it still garnered airplay, as the lyrics (as well as the album artwork) focused on the importance of the family structure especially at gatherings. "Family Reunion" became the group's 3rd consecutive R&B chart-topping album, and its #7 peak on the pop chart was their highest placing on this chart at the time (1978's So Full of Love would peak one place higher). "Family Reunion" was awarded a Platinum Album for RIAA Certification of over one million copies sold.

The White Lotus is an American satire comedy television miniseries created, written and directed by Mike White that premiered on HBO on July 11, 2021.Juan Cristobal Tapia de Veer is a Chilean-born Canadian film and television score composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is best known for his music to the British TV series Utopia, for which he won a Royal Television Society award in the best original score category in 2013, and the inventive drama The Third Day, written by Dennis Kelly in collaboration with Felix Barrett of immersive theatre company Punchdrunk International, produced by Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment for HBO/ SKY, in which Jude Law and Naomie Harris give stellar performances.

Bunny Sigler let his fertile, prolific imagination run wild for his final Salsoul album, "Let It Snow", issued in June 1980 with the end results being fun, funny, and funky. The first single, "Super Duper Super Man," has great cartoonish sound effects and the chant: "I don't like Kryptonite/ but I like Lois Lane and some serious tympani rolls." The snap-laced, quiet storm-ish title track not the holiday standard seductively swirls around in a frosty mix of echoing "oohs" and lazy don't-give-a-darn guitar lines. The track became a steppers standard, so copies of "Let It Snow" maybe extremely hard to find. "Girl You're Driving Me Crazy" skates along on a hi-hat, a sense of wacky humor, and a great horn and string arrangement by Lenny Pakula.

Re-issue of the Australian rock legends Rose Tattoo's debut LP in its original UK album sleeve. Includes the UK Top 75 single "Rock N Roll Outlaw" and the Aussie Top 10 "Bad Boy For Love" plus the original version of "Nice Boys" which was later covered by Guns N Roses. Lyrics to all the songs and liner notes by Kerrang!'s Derek Oliver are a feature of the artwork for this essential album.

This recording presents the double concerto for violin, cello and orchestra of the Spanish composer Francisco Coll, born in 1985. Les Plaisirs Illuminés, a title inspired by Dalí’s painting of the same name, is rooted in Spanish traditions, including flamenco, yet is resolutely modern: ‘Its music is very lively rhythmically, it dances and sings – but at the same time it is very abrupt, always in search of extremes’, says Patricia Kopatchinskaja. For this world premiere conducted by the composer, she is reunited with a longstanding partner who pursues an equally brilliant international career, the cellist Sol Gabetta.

Another archival album, this time from two of Anthony Phillips' long standing friends, David Thomas and Ronnie Gunn. Many Genesis fans may be familiar with David, he was, after all, the guy whose flat Tony Banks and Peter Gabriel shared for almost five years, as well as assisting on their first album, "From Genesis To Revelation". The album draws on material which the two main protagonists wrote in the period between 1969 and 1978, and as such is very much a product of its time as well as being an intriguing snapshot into an ear of music that has been undeservedly maligned by the smart set who sadly dominate our music industry these days.
Don't let the Genesis tag fool you, however. This album is not a "Collection of Antiques & Curios" to paraphrase another well known album of the period…
