Yes is preceded by the reputation of one of the most innovative bands in rock music. Since their beginnings in the late 1960s, they have repeatedly rediscovered the boundaries of rock music and explored previously unexplored sound worlds like hardly any other group.

Corpo celebrated its 30th anniversary with a concert at the ship GBG in Gothenburg last november. The concert was recorded by Sveriges Radio and is now released on disc.

Mélanie Bonis (1858–1937), a fine pianist herself, composed some 150 works for solo piano, publishing them with her first name shortened to ‘Mel’ to disguise the fact that she was a woman – while she lived among the French haute bourgeoisie as Mme Domange.

In 1985, Miles Davis shocked the music world by moving from Columbia to Warner Bros.. He immediately started working on an album called "Perfect Way" after a tune by Scritti Politti, later renamed "Tutu" by producer Tommy LiPuma. When "Tutu" (a tribute to Desmond Tutu) was released in 1986, it re-ignited Miles Davis’ career, crossing over into the rock and pop markets and winning him two Grammy Awards. A definitive collection of the later part of Miles Davis’ work, fully remastered, from the Warner Bros studio albums "Tutu", "Amandla" and "Doo-Bop", the "Dingo" and "Siesta" soundtracks, live recordings with Quincy Jones, and the likes of Kenny Garrett, Foley and Adam Holzman.

"Empty Glass" is the first solo album of original material, and third album overall, by Pete Townshend, first released in 1980. The album deals with a plethora of issues that Townshend was struggling with, including alcoholism, drug abuse, marital problems and deceased friends, particularly Keith Moon, The Who's drummer died in 1978. With the once viscerally powerful Who in limbo, the guitarist nearly sunk himself into brandy-drenched oblivion. He emerged with one of his most gripping solo pieces and perhaps unsurprisingly the most Who-like album of all his solo work. A strongest record was born in a hailstorm of despair, uncertainty, and tribulation.

The 1990 debut album from Pale Saints, The Comforts of Madness, is an outstanding record that owed as much to post-punk and L.A.’s Paisley Underground scene than it did to shoegaze. The Sunday Times called it “an unintended indie manifesto: music that is at once wayward and concise, dissonant and beautiful.” Shortly after its release and in need of a second live guitarist, Lush founding member Meriel Barham joined the Leeds trio of Ian Masters, Graeme Naysmith and Chris Cooper, bringing a new dynamic to the band.

In celebration of the 150th Anniversary this Album focus on still less-known but exceptional sensitive and impressive Choral Symphonic and Orchestra songs by Max Reger. With these works, Reger entirely adhered to the trend of the time; the large-scale idea, which would have had no place in the operas of the period, is transferred to the concert hall, so to speak, and is as far removed from the "simple" orchestral song as some of Mahler's Rückert-Lieder. The Hebbel Requiem, Op. 144b includes audible parallels with Johannes Brahms‘s German Requiem and was Reger’s memorial for the German soldiers killed in the war.

First prize winner of the CIOC (Canadian International Organ Competition 2021), Aaron Tan is the only person who, in addition to having won the CIOC in 2021, was among the winners of two other major organ competitions in North America: the CRCO National Organ Competition and the AGO National Competition for Young Artists (NYACOP).

Dmitri Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 7 lasts no more than twelve minutes. The composer wrote it in March 1960 and dedicated it to his first wife Nina Vasilyevna Varzar - or rather, to her memory, for she had died five years earlier of an insidious form of cancer; suddenly, and without warning. It is a very personal work, one that is close to the composer's heart, for here Shostakovich breaks the strict sequence of keys he imposed on himself. Alban Berg's String Quartet No.1 has 2 movements, bears the opus number 3, and is nevertheless considered the composer's first autonomous work, even though the composer himself points out that he received it personally from Schönberg.

For All the Dogs is the eighth studio album by Canadian rapper and singer Drake. It was released through OVO Sound and Republic Records on October 6, 2023. The album features guest appearances from Teezo Touchdown, 21 Savage, J. Cole, Yeat, SZA, PartyNextDoor, Chief Keef, Bad Bunny, Sexyy Red, and Lil Yachty. Production was handled by Drake, Teezo Touchdown, and Lil Yachty themselves, along with 40, Sango, Oz, Bnyx, Southside, Boi-1da, Vinylz, Tay Keith, FnZ, Jahaan Sweet, DJ Screw, Stwo, Gordo, and Justin Raisen, among others. The album was preceded by two singles, "Slime You Out" and "8AM in Charlotte", the former of which features SZA. It follows both of Drake's albums that were released in 2022: his seventh studio album, Honestly, Nevermind, and his collaborative studio album with 21 Savage titled Her Loss.

Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees is Dogstar's third studio album. Features "Everything Turns Around." Dogstar – guitarist / vocalist Bret Domrose, drummer Robert Mailhouse and bassist Keanu Reeves – epitomize the quintessential Southern California storytelling rock band they’ve always been in their hearts, making deeply resonant music that literally comes from Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees. Nearly a quarter century after what seemed to be their final album, Happy Ending (released in 2000), Dogstar has reformed and taken a great creative leap forward, establishing an entirely new path.

This album marks the culmination of two special Hallé collaborations and includes four major pieces from one of the most distinctive of current British compositional voices.

The themes that appear in the first movement of Franz Schubert's Sonata in B flat major form a kind of inner motivic and harmonic reference, and thus in a complex manner they link up all the movements. The music we hear in the first piece of Johannes Brahms’ Op. 10 Ballades is later put into a new light, and through conscious reference to the analogies of his musical models, the composer investigates symbolic aspects. The mysterious, inevitable fate of Franz Schubert’s wanderer and the figure in Johannes Brahms’ ballades thus gradually becomes clearer.

For his debut album, the violinist Paul Huang has chosen to spotlight the colour and poetry of his instrument in a kaleidoscopic recital of sonatas by Saint-Saëns, Respighi, Chopin and Paganini.
