The Rolling Stones’ Forty Licks, the album that gathered together fully three dozen of the most enduring and anthemic songs from the group’s peerless career and added four then-new tracks to their incredible story, is to be released digitally for the first time on July 26. Two days later, it will be available, again for the first time, in a lavish, limited edition four-disc, 180-gram black vinyl version, housed in a wide spined gatefold sleeve. At the same time, Stones fans will also have an opportunity to stream new Dolby Atmos versions of the album’s 40 tracks.

The Beat of My Heart is a 1957 album by jazz singer Tony Bennett. For this Columbia album Tony Bennett had started working with English jazz pianist Ralph Sharon and together they devised this percussion influenced treatment and invited percussionists Chico Hamilton, Jo Jones, Billy Exiner, Art Blakey, Candido Camero and Sabu Martinez to take part; Ralph Sharon was arranger and conductor.

In 2010 Arik was chosen by Israel’s Ministry of Culture and Sport for a six months’ artist in residence program at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. During his Paris stay, Arik began collaborating with French musicians in trio format. Returning to Israel, Arik set about writing material for his first Trio recording, Mostly Ballads. Legendary drummer Buddy Rich said “jazz should be treated the same as classical music – it’s to be listened to.” His words certainly apply to this sterling effort from the Arik Strauss Trio.
