"Time Fades Away" is a 1973 live album by Neil Young, consisting of previously unreleased material. It was Young's first live album, and was recorded with The Stray Gators on the tour following 1972's highly successful Harvest and has not been reissued on CD due to Young's dissatisfaction with that particular series of concerts.

The fourth studio album by Bruce Springsteen, "Darkness on the Edge of Town" is considered by many to be one of Springsteen's most highly regarded records. Rolling Stone magazine has ranked it at #150 on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and it has been certified triple-platinum by the RIAA.

Bruce Springsteen surprised diehard fans over the holidays, releasing the first-ever official recording of his legendary and much-bootlegged concert on August 9, 1978 with the E Street Band at Cleveland's Agora. A fantastic recording of a live concert conducted by Carlos Chávez in May 1940 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The program representis an important period in Mexican history, and ranges from a special arrangement of music for Aztec instruments of the 16th century to the popular Huapangos, the gay love songs of the Mariachi and the traditional Yaqui music.

Soli I is the first of a series of four works by the Mexican composer Carlos Chávez, each called Soli and each featuring a succession of instrumental solos. Three of these compositions are chamber music, and the remaining one is a sort of concerto grosso for four soloists and orchestra. This first work of the series is a quartet for oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and trumpet.

"The Rhythm of the Saints" is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Paul Simon, released on October 16, 1990 on Warner Bros. Like its predecessor, "Graceland" (1986), the album gained commercial success and received mostly favorable reviews from critics. In 1992, "The Rhythm of the Saints" earned two nominations for the 34th Grammy Awards — Album of the Year and Producer of the Year.

"Songs of Leonard Cohen" is the 1967 debut album of Canadian musician Leonard Cohen. It foreshadowed the future path of his career, with less success in the United States than in Europe, reaching #83 on the Billboard chart and achieving gold status only in 1989, while it reached #13 in UK and spent nearly a year and a half in the UK album charts.

"Quadrophenia" is The Who's landmark rock opera originally released in 1973. The opera revolves around the happenings, socially and psychologically, of an English teenager during 1965. Upon its release the album peaked at number 2 in both the US and UK charts, featuring hit singles "5.15" "Love, Reign O'er Me" and "The Real Me". Soles is a half-hour long ballet “after a Nahua tradition” from 1925 and is in the composer’s nationalistic style (you may think of Villa-Lobos now and again) while the 21-minute Pirámide (1968) is of sterner stuff tonally speaking but always rhythmically gripping.

Carlos Chávez was one of the most influential champions of modern Mexican concert music. He was passionate about his Mexican musical heritage, and recognized this richness. In 1928, he helped to organize the Orquesta Sinfónica de México and was its principal conductor until 1949, when the orchestra became the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional, as it is now known.

This album features works by composers for whom the conception and creation of music was intimately bound up with a religious attitude towards the world. Before the birth of aesthetics in the 18th century, the symbolic or “external” meanings of music resided in the music itself; neither its expressiveness nor its purpose as an integral part of social and religious rituals were separated from a larger context of moral and spiritual considerations. In this sense, although their tonal languages and forms differ greatly, later composers such as Liszt, Franck and Messiaen followed the spirit of Bach, reflecting a musical philosophy in which musical means and theological ends were deeply intertwined, if not one and the same.

Biber's Mystery (or Rosary) Sonatas were originally written to be played during Mass in Salzburg. Set to be recorded in early 2015 and released shortly after by Channel Classics, Rachel will tour a programme of half of the sonatas through 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. Depicting the main stories in the life of Christ, the sonatas are extremely evocative and could be performed in a sacred space using the Stations of the Cross, and/ or include suitable lighting to enhance the performance.

These two splendid violin concertos breathe the air of Late Romanticism. Well orchestrated and skilfully written for the soloist, they have retained their footholds in the repertoire, even though their respective composers have gone out of fashion. Camille Saint-Saëns’ Third Violin Concerto in B minor had the absolute certainty and conviction of a masterpiece. Saint-Saëns wrote it early in 1880 for the popular Spanish virtuoso Pablo de Sarasate.
