MoMo was spawned when Rob Mc Lennan, Vocals / Guitars (No Friends of Harry, Doris), Andrew Cleland, Drums / Backing Vox (The Kerels, Zen Arcade, Squeal), and Rusty Stanley, Bass (Simple English) were at a gig watching 'The English Beat’, and decided to get together as a three-piece to make an uncompromising, dark, swampy, gritty record grounded in places and times they’d all shared.

For Munich Machine and second Casablanca album, Giorgio Moroder recorded with Chris Bennett to provide vocals for his and Bellotte’s productions. A Whiter Shade of Pale marked Bennett’s first album-length appearance on record, fronting such cuts as the Procol Harum cover, “It’s For You,” “It’s All Wrong (But It’s Alright),” and “Love Fever.” Shortly after this release, Moroder would enlist Bennett to write lyrics for the theme to the Oscar-winning Midnight Express. This remastered re-issue includes a brand new interview with Chris Bennett as well as comments from Giorgio Moroder.

Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte were one of the disco era's most influential production teams. Hailing from Munich, they ushered in a whole strand of Eurodisco that set a precedent in electronic music for the decades to come. Their "Munich Machine" studio band was responsible for most of their earlier hits with Donna Summer, Roberta Kelly, and Moroder's own self-titled projects. Munich Machine was the first of three albums recorded for Casablanca under the "Munich Machine" moniker. Features the dance floor classic "Get on the Funk Train" as well as a medley containing re-recorded versions of the producers' hits for Summer and Kelly.

Although eclipsed in his era by the extraordinary attention focused on Charlie Parker, Stitt was highly admired by both fans and musicians. Equipped with magnificent technique and iron chops, and gifted with an innate ability swing, he could turn on the music seemingly at will.

Miles Davis' A Tribune to Jack Johnson is the best jazz-record ever made. Equally inspired by the leader's desire to assemble the 'greatest rock and roll band you have ever heard' as well as his adoration of Johnson, Davis created a hard-hitting set that spills over with excitement, intensity, majesty, and power. Bridging the electric fusion he'd pursued on earlier efforts with a funkier, dirtier rhythmic approach, Davis zeroes in on concepts of spontaneity, freedom, and identity seldom achieved in the studio. Mobile Fidelity's sterling reissue brings it all to fore with unsurpassed realism.

A Crystal Christmas was the first holiday album by Crystal Gayle. All the songs on this album are classic holiday compositions with no new songs. It was released in October 1986.

After rediscovering the music of Giovanni Croce, maestro di cappella at St Mark’s cathedral in Venice (A439), Ensembles Voces Suaves & Concerto Scirocco take us to Salzburg and put the spotlight on the Verona-born composer Stefano Bernardi, a contemporary of Monteverdi. Bernardi reached the peak of his career in Salzburg, when he was appointed the first Kapellmeister of its newly constructed cathedral, a position he held from 1628 to 1634. Bernardi contributed greatly to the integration of the Italian nuovo stile in Salzburg, especially of features such as polychorality and the stile concertato, and may therefore be seen as the musical forefather of later, more famous Salzburg musicians.

Excellent addition to any prog rock music collection
I didn’t know that Alan Stivell was on PA as I always thought he was just Folk, not properly prog. However this album has some prog moments, in particular “Delivrance” that’s my favourite track here.
