'The Lost Album' project was born from the idea of gathering for the first time all the Beatles unreleased compositions.
Also relevant variations of known Beatles compositions, improvs, jams, and cover versions performed by the group
that were never included in any studio album or single. Many of these tracks come from demos, home recordings, rehearsals, etc, so the original quality is low. In this album we try to improve the audio quality as much as possible, recovering audio drops, fixing technical problems, speed correction, recording failures and so on. Software tools have been used to clean, remaster and enhance the tracks, without ever losing the fidelity to their originals. Short and unfinished songs were sewn into each other, with soft transitions, resulting in a more consistent track. Overdubs and collages were all extracted from original Beatles material, from their period of activity (1958 to 1969). And the Bus makes his bonus ride… Bruno Ribeiro & The Producers © 2019 - UK - Not For Sale!

This chapter in the Complete Columbia Albums series showcases the end of Return to Forever's initial run that had begun on Polydor with a very different band. The best-known line-up – Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Lenny White, and guitarist Al di Meola – appears only on the first album in this set, the iconic 1975 session Romantic Warrior, which was issued in 1976 (the rest of their recordings together are all on Polydor). According to many, it is the apotheosis and end of jazz-rock fusion proper. The lackluster Musicmagic was issued in 1977 with only Corea and Clarke remaining in the lineup – though saxophonist and flutist Joe Farrell had returned from the band's earliest incarnation in the early '70s. The last three discs in this collection are made up of Return to Forever's Live: The Complete Concert, with the same basic lineup as Musicmagic. This live album had a checkered release history in the United States. It initially appeared as a single LP simply called Live – single because it had been edited down from the two-and-a-half-hour concert.

This album consists of five songs from Nothing Like the Sun… re-recorded in Spanish and Portugese. This was a well-done project – the translations are good and Sting manages the Spanish and Portugese pronunciations well. However, unless you are huge fan, or enjoy hearing the songs sung in different languages, this is an album you'll want to pass over.

Warm and spiritual sounds from Japanese reedman Mabumi Yamaguchi – working here on both soprano and tenor sax, in a set of tracks that builds slowly with a really heartfelt sense of energy! There's a vibe here that's almost in the Lonnie Liston Smith side of the spectrum – but the more acoustic one – as piano, bass, drums, and guitar (from Kazumi Watanabe) build up over the course of long tracks that feature very thoughtful, extended passages from the leader – who really reaches forward, but never goes too far outside as he paints these lovely pictures in sound. - Dusty Groove

2014 remastered and expanded two CD edition of her 1988 album originally a UK-only release that marked Zadora's return to the pop/dance fold after achieving credibility with her readings of R&B standards. The Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis' production is slick at times but the songs are well-crafted. Up-tempo numbers comprise with the understated 'Still Remembered' and pulsating 'Dance Out of My Head' making the strongest impressions. However, it's the ballads that Zadora is most comfortable with, and the standout is 'Since I've Been Lovin' You.' a calming number built simply on keyboard layering's and Zadora's vocal, it exemplifies her penchant for subtle R&B styling's and strays from the massive production of several other cuts. 'Silence' is a close match, demonstrating her proficiency in the soprano range. The track listing is evenly split between energetic dance-pop numbers and sullen R&B ballads. From the kinetic, catchy 'Laughin' at You' to the pensive, romantic 'Since I've Been Lovin' You,' this set effectively captures many moods in one listen. The bonus disc includes rare tracks and remixes.

A Secret Life is the twelfth studio album by English singer Marianne Faithfull. It was released on 21 March 1995 by Island Records. The album marked her first studio release composed mostly of original material in over a decade. Faithfull collaborated with American composer Angelo Badalamenti after his work on the television series Twin Peaks. Influenced by her interest in classical music, A Secret Life was a musical departure from her previous work and displayed a more tender side to her voice. Musically, A Secret Life is an alternative rock album which was inspired by classical music and also incorporates elements of blues. The songs deal with themes such as broken relationship on "She" or secret love affair on "Love in the Afternoon".

Survival of the Fittest Live is a live album by the Amboy Dukes. Released in 1971, it was the band's second album on Polydor Records, and the first where the band was credited as "Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes". The initial plan for the Survival of the Fittest album was to record one side of the album live and the other side in the studio, but this plan was later scrapped and the band instead recorded an entire live album. The album consists of five new songs written by Ted Nugent, and an extended live performance of "Prodigal Man", which previously appeared on the band's Migration album. In a review of the band's previous album, Marriage on the Rocks/Rock Bottom, AllMusic said that Survival of the Fittest sees the band embracing blues rock, which had only partially been explored on Marriage on the Rocks/Rock Bottom.

British multi-instrumentalist Mike Oldfield offers up this warmly crafted sequel to his 1975 classic Ommadawn, marking a return to a more organic style of composing. After polling fans online about what type of approach they'd like to hear, Oldfield was overwhelmingly urged to revisit the acoustic style heard on his first three albums. Eager for the challenge, he spent nearly a year in his studio crafting what would become 2017's Return to Ommadawn, an instrumental meditation on the prog-folk fantasy world he'd originally imagined four decades prior. A true solo effort, Oldfield plays every instrument on the record, which is divided into "Part I" and "Part II," each lasting about 20 minutes in a nod to the original's vinyl format.

The 1989 premiere of Hans Rott's Symphony No. 1 in E major (it was written more than 100 years earlier) introduced the international music world to a composer who had remained unknown, or known by name only, even among experts. His colleagues and friends included the younger composers Gustav Mahler and Hugo Wolf. Besides Wagner, Bruckner was the most important model for Rott’s first symphonic work. Written when he was barely twenty years old, the work stands as his magnum opus, his only completed major work, a synthesis of what he had written to date, and a proclamation of what might have been yet to come.

Around 40,000 years ago, towards the end of the last Ice Age, the upper Danube region was settled by anatomically modern humans. Traces of their daily life have been found at several cave sites in the south of modern Germany, including fragments of perforated bird bones and mammoth ivory. Representing the oldest evidence of musical creation worldwide, these prehistoric flutes – two from caves at Geissenklösterle, one from Hohle Fels, and a slightly later, more fully preserved find from Isturitz cave in the French Pyrenees – have been reconstructed in the modern era.
