Stage Fright is the third studio album by Canadian American group the Band, released on August 17, 1970. Engineered by Todd Rundgren and Glyn Johns, it features two of the group's best-known songs, "The Shape I'm In" and "Stage Fright," both of which showcased inspired lead vocal performances (by Richard Manuel and Rick Danko, respectively) and became staples in the group's live shows. 50th Anniversary Edition 2CD has been remixed and remastered + bonus tracks + Royal Albert Hall performance.

Recorded just after Sarah Vaughan joined the Roulette label in 1960, The Divine One found her in exactly the right circumstances to suit her excellent talents. Arranged by Jimmy Jones, who also sits in on piano, the setting was a small group that included one strong voice to accentuate hers – and no less a strong and clear voice than trumpeter Harry "Sweets" Edison (the perfect accompaniment for Vaughan). The Divine One is mostly a ballads collection, and it includes a few songs that were new to her repertoire – good choices like "Have You Met Miss Jones?" (aka "Old Jones"), "When Your Lover Has Gone," "Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams," and "Jump for Joy." One great left-field choice is "Ain't No Use," the R&B song taken as a slow torch song that Big Maybelle had first recorded (Nina Simone didn't record it until several years later).

In the bicentenary of Paisiello’s death, Catania’s Bellini Theatre staged Fedra, a world premiere performance in modern times of this opera by the composer from Taranto. It was a musical and cultural operation of great interest, which saw the revival – based on the original manuscript and on various transcriptions – of a rich, complex score, and attracted the attention of the Italian and international critics. The French conductor Jérôme Correas, an authority in this repertoire, was on the podium. Fedra had only been performed once in the 20th century for a radio recording and had never been staged in our century before. That single radio recording, however valuable, is however incomplete and, unlike this edition, unfaithful, in many ways, to the original score.

After suffering a debilitating shoulder injury from years of touring and endless recording sessions, cellist Ofra Harnoy underwent reconstructive surgery in 2015. Bonfire is a 5 disc box set by the Australian band AC/DC, released in 1997, and remastered with a release in Digipak format in 2003. It was created as a tribute to the band's earlier singer Bon Scott and included the two disc soundtrack to the movie Let There be Rock, some early unreleased tracks, a live recording from the Atlantic Records studio in New York and a remastered version of Back in Black. The box set was originally released in 1997 with the CDs all packaged individually in jewel cases, complete with full artwork. The original issue also features a poster, a backstage pass, keyring and a few other extras depending on the region. When the album was reissued in 2003 it was packaged in a large digipak, similar to a longbox, which featured either 4 or 5 disc trays. The 4-tray versions contained the remastered Back in Black in its own case with booklet. All versions of the box feature a large book full of liner notes and rare pictures of the band, mostly from before Scott's death.

Most Aborym albums play like testimonies of sudden unpredictable turbulent mood swings. Bursts of rage and coldness give way to creeping anxiety, startling roughness give way to scenarios of loneliness and anguish. Harmonic noise predominate. Melodic motifs recur like the whole thing’s being hammered out as the tape rolls. With Hostile Aborym can be considered part of a select group of acts who have the unwanted distinction of being a band whereupon every note of music made after a certain point in time can be deemed something of a triumph. Where Aborym do succeed in bringing themselves full circle, it’s by mixing the acoustic elements, the search for the melody, the coldness of the machines and the industrial influences that surfaced on their Shifting.negative album. Hostile often acts like a cudgel, pounding sludgy guitars and the hip-swiveling grind of the rhythm section directly into the listener’s temporal lobe. Hostile is a cryptic puzzle of darkness, brightness, discomfort, equilibrium and loathing…

The Scott Dubois Quintet can be considered an avant-garde band, but its latest record, Tempest, is a testament to just how accessible and captivating "experimental music can be. There are tunes on the album for the more meditative thinker as well as for someone who just wants to enjoy the various moods and tones that the record evokes. "Wander, the second track on the disc, shows off Dubois' ability to perform compelling duets. It begins with an encounter between David Liebman on Indian flute and Dubois on acoustic guitar. Their meeting is alluringly sluggish and Dubois tends to stay that way throughout the song while the rest of the band slowly emerges from its own lethargy. As the song progresses, a saxophone voice struggles to rise, to mature, but Dubois keeps a stubborn swagger in his strumming that is both fascinatingly erudite and achingly attractive.
