The Best of John Denver Live captures the singer at his charity Wildlife Concert in 1995. Denver runs through many of his best-known songs ("Take Me Home, Country Roads," "Rocky Mountain High," "Sunshine on My Shoulders," "Annie's Song") as well as two songs ("I'm Sorry," "I Think I'd Rather Be a Cowboy") that he previously had not recorded.

Without a doubt, this is the quisessential SACD for all music lovers. The sound on this disc is mindblowing and the warmth and clarity of the recording is flawless in all aspects.

"The Basement Tapes" is singer-songwriter Bob Dylan's sixteenth studio album. The album's tracks were recorded at house's in and around Woodstock, New York between the years 1967 and 1968.

"Spirit" is the seventh studio album by Earth, Wind & Fire, released in 1976 on Columbia Records. The album reached number 2 on the Billboard Pop and R&B Albums Chart and has been certified double platinum in the US by the RIAA. Charles Stepney died during the sessions for Spirit, and Maurice White took over fully the arranging and production duties for the band.

"Live at Art D’Lugoff’s Top of the Gate", a previously unreleased recording captured over a half century ago consists of two blistering sets recorded at the legendary venue in October, 1968. Digitally remastered from the original tapes, the album features one of jazz’s most prominent trios - pianist Bill Evans, drummer Marty Morell and bassist Eddie Gomez.

Italy’s great musical archaeologist and one of the outstanding improvisers of his country, reed player Gianluigi Trovesi indulges in his love for the emotional drama and musical beauty of Italian opera on "Profumo di Violetta". The title simultaneously alludes to the protagonist of Verdi’s famous opera La traviata and to the flower’s sweet perfume. Accompanied by the characteristic North Italian provincial banda, a large wind orchestra with percussion, Trovesi embarks on a humorous journey through the history of the genre, starting with Monteverdi’s Orfeo and including many highlights from La traviata before briefly visiting Mascagni and Puccini. The popular and the sublime, irony and unrestrained pathos meet with an improvisational spirit that conveys the pure joy of music making. Trovesi’s opera project will appeal to both opera lovers and open-minded jazz enthusiasts.

A one-time protégé of Arthur Rubinstein, pianist Janina Fialkowska’s artistry is all the more astonishing considering her return to the concert stage in 2004 following the removal of an aggressive tumour in her left arm.
