The Chris Robinson Brotherhood is indisputably one of the hardest working bands in rock ‘n’ roll. 2018 marks the fourth year in a row that they’ll play over 200 shows across the U.S. and Europe. Through that prolific touring schedule, the band has emerged a razor sharp, riveting live unit. Each evening The CRB plays two sets of music with a dynamic, ever-changing setlist. Presenting original material stretching across six studio albums, plus a repertoire of covers that runs from Slim Harpo to Bob Dylan and beyond, it’s only fittng that the band would document this output.

A transition album of sorts, Dance saw Numan departing from the jerky machine music of his synth pop prime to embrace a (bit) warmer sound that is less robotic and more free-form. The subject matter on highlights like "She's Got Claws," "Slowcar to China," "Cry the Clock Said," and "Crash" are quintessentially Numan, but their musical frameworks are quite far removed from early hits like "Are 'Friends' Electric?" and "Cars." Undoubtedly a shock to fans, Dance hasn't aged very well, either. The music is just a bit too far removed from the subjects to make much sense. AllMusic Review by John Bush

John Pizzarelli, one of the most celebrated performers bringing popular standards to a new generation, pays homage to Frank Sinatra with the release of Dear Mr. Sinatra. Early in his career, Pizzarelli opened for Sinatra on tour. His father, the jazz guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli, played on many of Sinatra's seminal recordings. Focusing on songs that were specifically written for 'Ol' Blue Eyes' and also featuring The Clayton- Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Dear Mr. Sinatra is in many ways the most personal of all the Sinatra tributes available. Dear Mr. Sinatra, follows Pizzarelli's highly-acclaimed tributes to Nat King Cole (Dear Mr. Cole and P.S. Mr. Cole), Antonio Carlos Jobim (Bossa Nova) and The Beatles (John Pizzarelli Meets The Beatles).

Tierney Sutton has "paid her dues". This is her fourth Telarc recording in the in the past four years. Do not be surprised if this is the one that pushes her over the boundary that will enable her to be regarded as one of the generation's next great jazz vocalists.

1973 debut album from Ann Sexton - it's a classic! A native of South Carolina, Southern soul singer Ann Sexton could croon a smooth ballad or handle the rough, funked-up style that was the hallmark of her region. Sexton recorded mostly for small labels during the '70s, including Impel and Dash, and did the majority of her work for the Sound Stage 7/77 family. Her biggest chart single was 1973's "You're Gonna Miss Me," which just barely made the R&B Top 50.

Ludwig Göransson is a Los Angeles-based Swedish musician best known for his often playful film and television scores. Göransson grew up with a musician father and began music lessons at a young age. Reared mostly on pop/rock, he branched into jazz and classical in his teens, and went on to graduate from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He then relocated to Los Angeles, enrolled in the Scoring for Motion Picture and Television program at the University of Southern California, and soon found work as an assistant to film composer Theodore Shapiro (Old School, Tropic Thunder, St. Vincent), who shared Göransson's penchant for comedy.

Joseph Trapanese is best known for his sleek, ominous score work for blockbuster films like Tron: Legacy, Straight Outta Compton, Oblivion, and the Raid series. Born in New Jersey, Trapanese earned his B.A. in composition from the Manhattan School of Music. He went on to study at UCLA for his M.A. in music for visual media and ended up teaching electronic music and composition at the school from 2008-2011. As a composer, arranger, and producer for film, television, theater, and video game music, he has collaborated with a number of mainstream musical acts. His first major break came in 2010 when he worked with Daft Punk on the sweeping digital soundtrack to Disney's Tron reboot/sequel.

In the first decade of the 21st century, film score composer Theodore Shapiro (aka Teddy Shapiro) became the go-to guy for movie comedies starring the major comic actors of the time, including Ben Stiller, Will Farrell, and Owen Wilson. He was born Theodore Michael Shapiro on September 29, 1971, in Washington, D.C., and earned a B.A. in music from Brown University, then a masters from the Juilliard School of Music. In 1993, he scored episodes of the television series The State.
