Face to Face have announced an album called Hold Fast (Acoustic Sessions), which will contain acoustic versions of songs from throughout their discography. Face to Face have ten LPs under their belts and on this album, they present ten acoustic versions of some of the classic tracks from those albums including a stripped-down version of their radio hit "Disconnnected."

The follow-up to 2016's The Art Of Loss, which van Dyk counts as amongst Redemption's very best, Long Night's Journey Into Day is inarguably the sound of a band at the height of their powers. As followers of Redemption are also aware, it is the first full-length since the departure of vocalist Ray Alder, and features the debut of Evergrey vocalist Tom Englund. "We were unable to tour 'The Art Of Loss' because Ray was not able to actively participate in Redemption any longer, so we decided it was time to part company shortly after it's release. Ray is a dear friend, and I have nothing but respect and love for him and what we created together. But at some point, it just became untenable."

Michael Romeo is a household name amongst the Prog Metal genre, better known for being the mastermind behind Symphony X. Having released many incredible records with the band over the years, Romeo decided to put out a solo album after more than 20 years since his original demo “The Dark Chapter”. War of the Worlds // Pt. 1 serves as a great opportunity for Romeo to work with musicians he has always wanted to work with. The lineup for this album features John Macaluso on drums, John “JD” DeServio on bass and Rick Castellano on vocals, who co-wrote lyrics with Romeo. Romeo took care of all guitars, keyboards and orchestration as expected. Lyrically, the concept behind the album is “conflict”, or as Romeo puts it, “them against us”, which can be interpreted in many ways. Musically, the album finds Romeo going all out on everything he loves about music and mixing them together. The heaviness, melodies, riffs, shredding are all here as expected but the orchestra elements are more pronounced than ever.

Formed in Boston, 2014, ShadowParty comprises members of some of the most iconic electronic bands of a generation, New Order and DEVO. At the pulsing heart of the group are Josh Hager, Jeff Friedl, Tom Chapman and Phil Cunningham. For DEVO, Hager plays guitars and keyboards, whilst Friedl plays drums; in their hitherto day-job with New Order, Chapman and Cunningham play bass and guitars respectively. "We got on straight away because we had a lot in common, a lot of similar records in our collections - Kraftwerk, early 80s punk bands, electro, Joy Division," says Tom. "And Josh had one of the DEVO plant pot hats in his studio. That was my first question: what's that?!" With the band's debut long-player, they are joined by diverse collaborators that each contribute a distinct twist to the sound; with combined credentials including work with luminaries spanning A Certain Ratio, Electronic, The Verve and Elbow.

Texas' genre-bending rock 'n' roller Israel Nash presents his latest long play, Lifted. It is a modern day hippie-spiritual, a tonic for those needing to put aside the mess of the daily grind. It was love at first listen when we first discovered sister duo VanJess. Underworld and Iggy Pop announce Teatime Dub Encounters due for release on July 27th via Caroline. The 4 track EP is the result of a few clandestine hotel room recording sessions that began a few weeks after Underworld and Iggy Pop each released their last albums on the same day (3/18/16). The self-produced Out Of The Blues finds national treasure Boz Scaggs applying his iconic voice and gritty guitar skills to a set of vintage classics as well as four originals. For the occasion, the legendary singer/songwriter/guitarist assembled a star-studded studio band including such prestigious players as guitarists Doyle Bramhall II, Ray Parker Jr. and Charlie Sexton, bassist Willie Weeks, drummer Jim Keltner and keyboardist Jim Cox, as well as longtime friend Jack Walroth on guitar, harmonica and percussion.

This double-album set brings to completion Dynamic’s project to record Nicolò Paganini’s entire output. The programme includes notable rarities such as the Sonata Napoléon MS. 5, the splendid Maestosa Suonata Sentimentale MS. 51, Sonata movimento perpetuo M.S 66 and La Primavera MS. 73, all in performances that faithfully follow Paganini’s original manuscripts. The set also features an exciting interpretation of the rare Concerto No. 3 in E major MS. 50, perhaps one of the least performed of Paganini’s concertos, and the Caprice No. 24 in an interesting version with piano accompaniment.
