This is not the vintage Don Covay sound that many of his fans may know about and you won't find any of his big hits on this CD but this 1969 album sounds like a labor of love, something that Covay was dying to record for a long, long time. You can hear the sincerity, vitality and enthusiasm on every track. Wonderful album. As other reviewers have noted. this is a bit of a hybrid. Not a traditional blues album by any means, but one that mixed blues with soul and a dash of rock too. Very satisfying results. There are times when Covay is singing, that I swear it's Mick Jagger. The vocal inflections are that similar sometimes. But the real highlights are the songs themselves, plus the guitar playing. Something to savor.

Following the success of Recomposed by Max Richter, DG will release a Version 2 of the album. The new edition will come with new artwork and booklet incl. brand new remixes, shadows and the film that was shot in Berlin in December, that some of you experienced on site.

The River Tour 2016/Summer '17 tour was a concert tour by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in support of Springsteen's 2015 The Ties That Bind: The River Collection box set and in celebration of the 35th anniversary of Springsteen's 1980 album, The River. The River Tour 2016 ended in September 2016, however dates in 2017 were added using the same promotional image from the original legs, and the tour was subsequently billed as Summer '17.

Canadian indie darlings Great Lake Swimmers will release their sixth album, A Forest Of Arms, on April 20, 2015 via Nettwerk Records. With a surging rhythm section, razor sharp violin, and flourishing banjo and guitars, Tony Dekker and his band mates have created some of their most dynamic songs to date. As with past Great Lake Swimmers albums, A Forest Of Arms was recorded in several locations over the span of several months, covering extensive new territory while remaining true to the groups refined sound.

This is true of Shostakovich. The art work on the front has a very interesting painting by Joseph Hirsch, a well known painter from the 30s and 40s. A close up version of Shostakovich's face composed of jewel-like facets echoing the artistic complexity of the music.
