Christmas is an EP by Australian singer–songwriter Delta Goodrem, released on December 14, 2012 by Sony Music Australia. It is her first collection of Christmas music, after previously contributing several Christmas recordings to The Spirit of Christmas album series.

This is the heaviest album yet, but also has it's fair use of clean vocals; as much as any other album to date. This album adds progressive metal qualities built upon the melodic death metal and metalcore of previous releases. The musicianship of WoA has always been first rate, but this album proves that they are one of the most talented and flawlessly-skilled bands out there. This album is a must-have for any WoA fan, and any fan of metal needs to give this album a listen.

Big Sean wasn’t short on confidence preceding the release of I Decided., his Platinum-certified fourth studio album. Like any artist proud of their forthcoming work, he spoke highly of the product and his status. Boldly, he delivered his elevator pitch as one of rap’s best and immediately my attention was his. Unfortunately, the album didn’t provide a compelling enough argument. I like Sean, he can be exciting and is fairly relatable, but his attempts at being clever often come across as corny, at times painfully so. He’s a very good MC who has spent years just outside the doors of the elite classroom.

Waler Hayes has risen from the ashes in his second/debut album ‘Boom‘. After his first album, “Reason To Rhyme” didn’t quite go to plan Hayes took a completely different source of inspiration in his music; songs from the heart. Of the 10 tracks on the album, Hayes wrote or co-wrote every single one of them with ideas that sprout from the darkest days to simple life hearted moments .

Brahms was 48 years old and at the height of his powers when he completed his Piano Concerto No. 2. The Olympian B flat Concerto is, famously, not only one of the most technically challenging of all piano concertos to play but also one of the longest and a supreme test of the soloist’s technique and stamina. Not far behind it in terms of the challenges it presents the soloist with, is the early Burleske for piano and orchestra by Richard Strauss.

Their debut performance at the O2 Apollo in Manchester 2014 was the beginning of a dynamic music career for Vadé. In 2016, Vadé performed on the Christmas Gospel Show on BBC TWO, hosted by now label-mate Gregory Porter, and Beverley Knight. Vadé also worked closely with recording artists Sam Robson, James Rose, Simon Ăkesson and performed with Grammy-nominated tenor and saxophonist, Kamasi Washington at the Jazz Proms, hosted by the BBC at the Royal Albert Hall.

Following two semi-pastoral Tony Tixier originals, "I Remember The Time Of Plenty" and "Denial Of Love," the listener is treated to a commendably loose interpretation of Louis Armstrong's timeless "Tight Like This," which apparently Tixier's grandmother enjoyed singing. Whilst it retains some of the hooks of the 1920's tune, it is transformed into something completely different. The album follows a similar pattern to the above tracks, variously populated by dulcet or forceful numbers. "Illusion" manages to combine both of these elements, undoubtedly benefitting from Tommy Crane's crisp percussion.

Produced by Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens, What Makes You Country features 15 songs, seven of which were co-written by Luke, including the title track. The album’s lead single, “Light It Up,” is currently No. 11 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart after just six weeks.

After releasing the politically charged solo album Eternally Even in 2016, My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James returns with Tribute To 2, a collection of cover songs that reverberate with hope. Unlike his 2009 EP of songs by George Harrison and the Beatles, Tribute To, which was recorded on an eight-track, reel-to-reel tape recorder in the days following Harrison's passing, the 11 songs of Tribute To 2 were recorded over a period of years - in different places, with different gear and varied instrumentation.

Part of Legacy's budget-priced Classic Christmas series, the Neil Diamond installment offers up 12 previously issued holiday hits, including yuletide classics like "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The First Noel," "Winter Wonderland," "O Come All Ye Faithful," and "Silent Night."

Neil Diamond's first two holiday albums were plainly titled The Christmas Album and The Christmas Album, Vol. 2, which gave a pretty good indication of the by-the-book music they contained, just like how the very name of 2009's A Cherry Cherry Christmas is a tip-off that this collection is a decidedly less serious affair, even if it recycles a good chunk of the same recordings that comprised those earlier albums. A Cherry Cherry Christmas keeps a barbershop quartet arrangement of "Deck the Halls," a doo wop "White Christmas," and a swinging "Jingle Bell Rock," but what's notable are the additions: a ridiculous, self-celebrating "Cherry Cherry Christmas" that's trumped only by a goofy cover of Adam Sandler's "Chanukah Song." These two new cuts make Diamond seem like the garrulous uncle at your family's holiday party, the one who is eager to prove how cool he is, which only makes him seem all the more out of touch.

After two excellent collaborations with Rick Rubin, Neil Diamond can't resist taking the production reins himself for this collection of (mostly) covers. His liner notes claim these songs as some of his favorites from the "rock era" implying it's over. While this set is more intimate than most of his overblown production of the last 30 years, it is a step away from the simplicity of his work with Rubin, featuring full strings, chamber reeds, winds, and brass on various cuts. As a vocalist, Diamond's dramatic rather than involved authority is his trademark; he imposes it on almost every track.

This album came when Neil Diamond was firmly entrenched in his adult contemporary niche. A/C can be so pandering it's insulting sometimes, but when it's done with heart and smarts it can be sublime. Diamond apparently gets that and for the most part makes adult contemporary that is actually for adults. It takes a master to croon "Cause I do believe in forever/it's a place that lovers find" without making the sentiment cringe-inducing. And Diamond pulls it off. Despite that, even he can't keep from sounding creepy when he sings, "Ooh, babe, you're a hot little number" on "Everything's Gonna be Fine."
