Following the success of 2020's Ekundayo album, the tried and true chemistry of Bailey and producer Leon Michels (El Michels Affair) is on full display again as they take the sound they established and push it further. On Zero Grace they lean more into the bleeding heart singer-songwriter side of Liam. The result, much like Bailey himself, is impulsively honest without reserve.Born and raised in Nottingham, England, the son of an English mother and 2nd generation Jamaican English father, Liam will admit his early childhood was fairly chaotic and filled with "all the cliche racism that happens when people started mixing up in the '80s in England."

The Derek Trucks Band is an American jam band founded by young slide guitar prodigy, Derek Trucks, who began playing guitar and touring with some of blues and rock music's elite when he was just nine years old. After experimenting as an adolescent with musicians he met between tours and recording sessions, Trucks founded The Derek Trucks Band in 1994. With family ties to The Allman Brothers Band, Trucks continued to experiment and play with others, carefully assembling his own band over a period of several years. Loosely based in his family home in Jacksonville, Florida, with Trucks as unquestionable bandleader, the band is made up of six individuals. Out of the Madness is the second studio album by American jam band The Derek Trucks Band, released on October 20, 1998. The album was recorded between June 14, 1997 – April 11, 1998 at Dockside Studios, Maurice The album is mainly re-arranged jazz and blues classics and the rest is original compositions by the band. Derek was eighteen years old at the time of the release of the album.

The next chapter of Danny Kiranos, p/k/a Amigo the Devil, continues with Yours Until the War Is Over - his most disarming and singular work to date. The 13-track project weaves themes of relatable self-destruction and trauma bonding with arresting authenticity. Riddled with obscure literary references - akin to Kiranos' maniac reading habit - the album proves that this whole Amigo the Devil thing isn't some true crime niche. Yours Until the War is Over is a songwriter's record.

This release is Exclusive and the first of a handful of releases to comemorate the 50th Anniversary of the bands legendary appearance at Woodstock in 1969. The Cap Ferrat Sessions took place during the recording of their Rock and Roll Music To The World album and first appeared on the 2017 10CD Box Set 1969-1974. This is the first release outside the box set.

Never Mind the Bollocks may have appeared revolutionary, but the Clash's eponymous debut album was pure, unadulterated rage and fury, fueled by passion for both rock & roll and revolution. Though the cliché about punk rock was that the bands couldn't play, the key to the Clash is that although they gave that illusion, they really could play – hard. The charging, relentless rhythms, primitive three-chord rockers, and the poor sound quality give the album a nervy, vital energy. Joe Strummer's slurred wails perfectly compliment the edgy rock, while Mick Jones' clearer singing and charged guitar breaks make his numbers righteously anthemic. Even at this early stage, the Clash were experimenting with reggae, most notably on the Junior Murvin cover "Police & Thieves" and the extraordinary "(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais," which was one of five tracks added to the American edition of The Clash.

Cassette tapes. Remember those? Those things with the dual spools and loads of wide brown plastic recording string that’d occasionally unravel and hang out of the shell, requiring a pencil and firm wrist to spin back into place? Yeah, well, once upon a time, old-school sound systems contained cassette decks for the express purpose of recording shows, and these “cassette” things were a standard part of every tour. Motörhead were certainly no exception, recording show after show. They contain gold, pure aural gold, and had for many years sat hundreds of feet underground in a small cave Lemmy owned, guarded by small, hairy centurions in Roman armor with small spears and bad attitudes. Only the magic password would release them, and thankfully, Lem had scribbled it down and left it inside an old sketch book for us (no, were won’t tell you the password, although it did have the words ’nie nie nie’ in it). There were loads of the dirty, dusty, greasy little buggers gathered, with the likes of Lyon, Liverpool, Hamburg and Chippenham (!!) scrawled in biro on the tiny labels alongside a date…and thus we are delighted to announce that this unique collection of live gems will now be heard by the world, via carefully digitized transfers, in the series titled The Löst Tapes.

Inventors of "Space-Rock" and laser beams during concerts, the Rockets are an electronic music band that has left its mark especially in Italy and Russia. Their silver heads and guitars in the shape of sun and stars are alive in the memories of all those who lived through the period between the 1970s and 1980s. Today the Rockets return to Italy with a brand new album entitled "WONDERLAND" full of new songs dedicated to the theme of children (our true future, a better future, a better planet).

Interior, to be released on 23rd of February 2024, is Rosa Anschütz’s most introspective and vulnerable album to date; an insightful and powerfully crafted album which dives within but also urges to turn to the outside. The record operates as a meditative sonic and lyrical journey across genres, with an analog dark-romanticism rooted in the melancholia of neo-folk, the elegance and solemness of modern classic and the grace and baroque of sacred music. It is both an introspection, an “enhancement of one’s thoughts” as she phrases it, and a quest for harmonious living.

2013 remaster of the Giorgio Moroder produced 1979 album. Includes booklet with extensive liner notes by Record Collector journalist Michael Haetley. A loose collective of German session musicians, Munich Machine made three albums in their own right under the guidance of legendary disco producer Giorgio Moroder. Their third album ‘Body Shine’, released in 1979 on Casablanca, featured dance floor favourite ‘Space Warrior’. By this final album, the band officially consisted of Günter Moll and Stefan Wissnet, along with singers Judith Jones and Yolande Howard. 4 extra tracks are presented with this edition: 2 Bonus tracks, including the 1979 single version of ‘Party Light’ and B-side ‘Bolectro’, plus: 2 Special bonus tracks comprising Blue Eyed DJ remixes of ‘Space Warriors’ and the ‘Giorgio Moroder Medley’, taken from a 1983 promo release.

This is the best available modern recording of Dvorák’s three gorgeous Slavonic Rhapsodies, music that’s totally neglected in the concert hall and nearly so on recordings (at least by major names). The dark timbre of the Leipzig orchestra, with strings dominating, isn’t exactly ideal for Dvorák. However, in the rhapsodies at least, the playing is so lovely and Masur’s direction so musical and alert that it would be churlish to quibble further.

The Story of Bossa Nova features 20 remastered original recordings from the late '50s/early '60s combined with a few modern interpretations of the genre, including 14 tracks written by composer Antonio Carlos Jobim. Taken from the vast EMI-Odeon archive of classic Brazilian music, this introductory set includes Marcos Valle's "Samba De Verao," Sylvia Telles' "Dindi," and the pre-Astrud Gilberto version of "Girl From Ipanema" by Pery Ribeiro.

Two former LPs by big bands led by bassist Oscar Pettiford (who doubles on cello) are reissued in full on this single CD. The arrangements by Gigi Gryce, Lucky Thompson, and Benny Golson feature a lot of concise solos, an inventive use of the harp (either by Janet Putnam or Betty Glamann), and colorful ensembles. Among the many soloists are trumpeter Art Farmer, trombonists Jimmy Cleveland and Al Grey, the French horn of Julius Watkins, the tenors of Thompson or Golson, and the bassist-leader. This formerly rare music is highly recommended to straight-ahead jazz fans, for it is full of fresh material and subtle surprises.
