Allan Taylor is one of England's most-respected singer/songwriters. His songs have been covered by artists on both sides of the Atlantic, including Don Williams, Frankie Miller, Fairport Convention, Dick Gaughan, the McCalmans, the Fureys, the Clancy Brothers, and De Dannan. Folk Roots praised him for his "ability to crystallize a mood and evoke an era with the ease of a computer memory access, crafting perfect songs with dramatic changes in the spirit of Brecht, Bikel, and Brel." The Oxford Book of Traditional Verse felt as strongly, writing that Taylor was "one of the most literate and sensitive of contemporary songwriters in terms of words and music and one who is capable of exploring more complex subjects than most of his contemporaries."

The Dutch guitarist was part of a mini dutch invasion of the early 1970's (along with Tee Set and Shocking Blue) and hit with "Little Brown Bag", but it wasn't until 1975 that he hit big with "Una Paloma Blanca", adopted by the disco set before disco went mainstream. The German synth-pop trio Camouflage was officially formed in 1984 by vocalist Marcus Meyn and keyboardists/programmers Heiko Maile and Oliver Kreyssig. The group took first place in a radio-sponsored song contest in 1986, and before long, their debut single, "The Great Commandment," was scaling the German charts. Their full-length debut, Voices and Images, was released in 1988, reflecting the group's classic new wave synth-pop influences, but most of all Depeche Mode. 1989's Methods of Silence began to broaden Camouflage's sonic palette, yet the Depeche Mode sound still remained at the forefront.

Rachel's Birthday are a German, Stuttgart-based quintet, working together since 1997. Their line-up are Alfred Müller (keyboards), Michael Six (bass), Jürgen Hägele (drums), Bernd Müller (guitars) and Ralf Glasbrenner (vocals). They shifted their style from the more "straightforward prog rock" in the early days to the more original approach blending various elements, including new-wave, symphonic prog, neo prog and folk. After stabilizing their musical style, they started touring and soon gained a significant success: they won the "Battle Of The Bands" contest in Stuttgart in 1998, where they achieved a second place, and the first place on SDR3 festival. In the meantine they released their first and to day only CD "An Invitation To Rachel's Birthday", highly prized by both audience and the critics.
