Pescado Rabioso was a psychedelic rock band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, formed by musician Luis Alberto Spinetta, from 1971 to 1973, right after the breakup of his previous band Almendra. The band also consisted originally of Black Amaya, Osvaldo Frascino. Carlos Cutaia then joined in and David Lebón replaced Frascino. Despite its short life, Pescado Rabioso is still considered an important piece of Argentine rock history, mainly because of "Artaud", a masterpiece album featuring only Spinetta compositions.

A new album of World Premieres from GRAMMY® Award-winning Ukrainian-American pianist Nadia Shpachenko! As she watched in horror her home city of Kharkiv (and the rest of Ukraine) being destroyed and civilians being murdered every day, Shpachenko tried to come up with ways to express her feelings of utter despair and anger, as well as hope and resilience, through her music making. In addition to performing fundraising concerts featuring music by Ukrainian composers, she decided to put together a new album to support Ukraine humanitarian aid.

The Spanish baroque ensemble Forma Antiqva rescues forgotten masterpieces. The conductor and artistic director Aarón Zapico opens the musical treasury in the archives of Oviedo Cathedral and presents Spanish masterpieces of the 17th century to the world. Each individual work is a premiere recording, including six vocal pieces by Joaquín Lázaro (1746-1786) — the soprano Jone Martínez brings these love arias about the highest, divine love to life again — and two anonymous instrumental pieces and a violin concerto. Forma Antiqva, conducted by Aarón Zapico, is one of the most outstanding baroque ensembles in Spain. Zapico places special work on the discovery of Spanish baroque music. The maestro unearths gems and performs them with his ensemble as if the ink were still wet on 17th-century sheet music. Very exciting!

I first heard about the existence of the celesta during my piano studies in San Sebastián, Spain, in 2004, playing the original version of Debussy’s Les chansons de Bilitis: a dancer, two harps, two flutes, celesta, and a pseudo translation of Ancient Greek poems. So enchanting!

After Hours is a 1996 studio album for Novus Records by jazz guitarist John Pizzarelli and his trio. Most of the album consists of old standards, and features guests like Randy Sandke and Harry Allen.

During the '80s, '90s, and early 2000s, David Foster was among the most commercially successful producers and composers in all of popular music. Foster has won 16 Grammy Awards from 47 nominations.

This is a fine compilation of Jackie Gleason's output for Columbia. Gleason's objective was to make "musical wallpaper" that should never be intrusive, but rather conducive. He was not musically literate, but never had a problem articulating what he wanted to hear from his orchestra. The music here is quiet, melancholy, and often somber, played at mostly moderate to slow tempos. Each selection seems to flow into the next, achieving Gleason's goal of unobtrusiveness. Collectors may be more interested in seeking out the original LPs that comprise the material here, but for those looking for two CDs worth of some of the most relaxing music ever recorded, this is the place to start.

Rock & Roll Strategy is the eighth studio album by the southern rock band 38 Special, released in 1988. It was the first album to feature the new vocalist and keyboard player Max Carl. This album contained their last Top 10 hit, "Second Chance", which peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

At first, it sounds like the jazz soundtrack to either your favorite noir film or a Doris Day film from 1962. Then you realize that it isn't quite jazz at all but the orchestrated sound of six accomplished jazz musicians playing an eclectic mix of original songs and re-arranged iconic pop tunes that go back to the '50's that all sound unmistakably Chaise Lounge. On stage, the band looks as polished as it sounds. And the show, with Charlie Barnett and Marilyn Older's between song banter and the hysterical interplay between trombonist John Jensen and reedman, Gary Gregg is old-school, laugh out-loud entertainment. The grooves are soul deep.
