Alongside the rest of the early-'70s glam pack, Suzi Quatro fans have never had to search far for a hits compilation, but The Wild One is certainly one of the most all-encompassing. Quatro's own career divides into two very separate phases – there was her early run of hits and misses, traveling from 1972's "Rolling Stone" to 1977's "Tear Me Apart," and then there's the more rounded, adult sound that was ushered in by "If You Can't Give Me Love," and rolled on for another five years. This set bridges the two, drawing in a handful of numbers from that later period, but the lion's share of The Wild One concentrates on the leather-clad rocker who canned the can and drove down to Devilgate. A solid 13 hit singles are joined by seven further classics, including the debut "Rolling Stone," and primal covers of "All Shook Up" and "Keep a Knocking," and the spirit of Quatro as the hardest rocker in pop lives on.

Here it is, the unholy quartet back in all its glorious ugliness with the name it should have had all along. Heaven & Hell are comprised of guitarist Tony Iommi, fuzz and buzz bassist Geezer Butler, drummer Vinny Appice, and vocalist Ronnie James Dio. The former pair were founding members of doom metal lords Black Sabbath, of course. Dio is best known as the lead singer of Elf, and then Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, and Vinny Appice was Rick Derringer's drummer before joining these three lads in a new version of Sabbath after Ozzy Osbourne and Bill Ward left. This quartet issued a total of three recordings together, Heaven & Hell (1980), Mob Rules (1981), and Dehumanizer (1992).

After years of trying to separate himself from his legendary status as Led Zeppelin's frontman, Robert Plant finally reconciles with his past on Now & Zen. He borrows a few Zeppelin riffs, and even enlists Jimmy Page to play guitar on his hit "Tall Cool One." This album is also notable in that it marks his first collaboration with keyboardist Phil Johnstone, who would continue to play and write with Plant on subsequent albums. Musically, the album relies on standard rock arrangements except that the vocals and drums are at the forefront and keyboards instead of guitars are used to fill out the sound. Although most of the album is comprised of mid-tempo songs aimed at rock radio, Plant includes the lovely ballad "Ship of Fools," which demonstrates that he is more than capable of vocal subtlety…
