The vinyl recording of Nico’s iconic Live Inn performance in Tokyo stands as a cherished gem. It encapsulates the haunting allure of her deep vocals in tracks like “Janitor of Lunacy” and “Tananore”, drawing listeners into her captivating melancholy. Former member of The Velvet Underground – Singer/Songwriter, Model/Actress, Solo Artist/Music Icon. Nico seemed to be at the epicentre of all that was cool in the 60s. And she continued that trend by relocating to Manchester in the 80s for a career renaissance before sadly dying in 1988.

Empires into Sand is the first album of new material from Normil Hawaiians in 40 years. The group first refined their sound during the early 80s, hitting on a pastoral experimentalism that drew on ambient drone, motorik impulse and post-punk pep. To All Trains is the sixth and final studio album by American rock band Shellac. The album was recorded at Electrical Audio between November 2017 and March 2022. It was released on May 17th, 2024 following the death of guitarist and vocalist Steve Albini two weeks prior on May 7th, 2024.

But for the most part, the tracks on Idioblast directly reference the concepts that inspired Fekner’s visual art.

Formed in 1981, The Blue Aeroplanes are Bristol’s longest running band and a true art-rock institution who have inspired countless post-punk and alternative groups including R.E.M., Radiohead, and Manic Street Preachers. ‘Beatsongs’ was first released in 1991 and became their highest charting album, featuring standout tracks such as ‘Yr Own World’, ‘Fun’, ‘Colour Me’, and ‘The Boy In The Bubble’ (a cover of the Paul Simon classic).

Avalanche Kaito: the exhilarating combination of Burkina Faso born urban griot Kaito Winse and fellow experimentalists Belgian guitarist Nico Gitto and French drummer/producer Benjamin Chaval. This transnational avant-rock trio created waves with their visceral self-titled 2022 debut, bagging notable festival appearances (Supersonic, End of the Road), a KEXP session and much deserved critical and audience enthusiasm.

Cold wave duo The KVB are back with news of their new album ‘Tremors’ which is being released on 5 April via Invada Records (Gazelle Twin, Beak, Billy Nomates).
