Named after Groove Armada's bimonthly London club night, the duo's fourth album captures the excitement and diversity of pace you would expect from a masterful DJ set. While the opening track, "Purple Haze", doesn't have a sniff of Hendrix's majestic histrionics, it is certainly Groove Armada's most Rock & Roll moment to date… Tom Findlay and Andy Cato have steadily been dismantling their chill-out crown ever since the single "At the River" floated them into coffee-table ubiquity.

jess joy (formerly of Moon Honey) is a multimedia artist based in the dreamy undercurrent of Los Angeles, hailing from the swamps of south Louisiana. In art school, guitarist Andrew Martin (Palaye Royale) commissioned her to paint a guitar amp, and a partnership flourished. Moon Honey toured the country, were lauded by the New York Times - “whirlwind virtuosity” - and NPR - “one of those voices cults form around”, played on KEXP, worked with producers John Goodmanson (Blonde Redhead, Sleater-Kinney) and Greg Saunier (Deerhoof) and went out with a bang.

It would be short selling it to call PULP a collection of b-sides and rarities. Rather, it is a group of songs who have been patiently waiting their turn. “Happy Parasites” was at the top of the list when Born Ruffians entered the studio to record Uncle, Duke & the Chief in 2017 but it never made it into the sessions. “Husha” has been kicking around Youtube and various hard drives, a bootleg of sorts, for nearly ten years. “Heat Wave” is a head-bobbing, slow-burn banger that just needed a little more gestation time.
