The 16th-century composer, Cypriana Bazylik, was born in Sieradz, an important commercial and cultural center at that time. He composed only for a short period of his life, when he was employed in the court band of Prince Mikołaj Radziwiłł in Vilnius. Several of his songs and several psalms have survived and are included on this CD. The music, masterfully presented by the Ensemble Jericho vocal group, is largely an original adaptation of the musicologist and organist Bartosz Izbicki - voices, new harmonies, and sometimes changed rhythmic formulas have been added.

Joe Feeney was an American tenor singer who was a member of The Lawrence Welk Show television program. From 1957 to 1982, when the Welk show ended production, Feeney was the program's featured Irish tenor. Among his selection of musical numbers that were popular with the Welk audience were Danny Boy, Galway Bay, Sweet Leilani and the Mario Lanza classic "Be My Love". He also has the distinction of singing for five US Presidents and performed at Carnegie Hall three times; in 1975 he sang for Pope Paul VI at the canonization of Mother Seton, the first native-born American saint.

Nancy Ames is an American folk singer and songwriter.
