Originally released in 2005, Insen is the second collaboration album between Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto and the second installment of V.I.R.U.S.‘s five albums series. Remastered in 2021 in collaboration with Calyx Studio, the album’s recordings are accompanied by an unreleased composition titled Barco. Initially composed for Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto’s 2005 Insen tour, the audio material used in this piece is based on the subtle sounds of Barco projectors, whose tonalities served as a ground for the artists’ live improvisation.

Capella Savaria has earned its fame as the first period-instrument chamber orchestra of Hungary. Its innovative efforts created quite a sensation at the time in musical circles. The ensemble’s objectives were, from the onset, to play baroque and classical music in an authentic way by relying on genuine documents of the period. The material on the album is a selection from early European and Hungarian instrumental dance music.

Jorma Ludwik Kaukonen, Jr. is an American blues, folk, and rock guitarist. Kaukonen performed with Jefferson Airplane and still performs regularly on tour with Hot Tuna, which started as a side project with bassist Jack Casady, and as of early 2019 has continued for 50 years. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him #54 on its list of 100 Greatest Guitarists.

Rainbow Generator are Australia’s first true experimental electronic music group. Consisting of David Labuschagne AKA Mojo, and Rob Greaves AKA Ras. Starting in the mid-70’s, the pair took it upon themselves to begin exploring the possibilities of the sonic dimension and with an ‘open mind’ began investigating the interface between psyche and sound.

John Medeski has announced The Curse (Music From the Showtime Original Series), which is out November 17 via Milan Records. The 52-song soundtrack to the new show from Benny Safdie and Nathan Fielder, which co-stars Fielder and Emma Stone, was executive produced by regular Safdie collaborator Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never). The new release features the opening track and lead single “Fake Tears.”

Widely acknowledged as a modern master in the aftermath of his acclaimed 2012 Mack Avenue debut, 29-year-old pianist-composer Aaron Diehl ups the ante with the 2015 release "Space, Time, Continuum". Diehl first documented his inclusive, across-the-timeline conception on the self-released late ʼ00s albums Live At Caramoor, a solo date on which he navigated the stride piano canon with deep assurance; and Live At The Players, on which he applied a broad lexicon of piano trio vocabulary to a program spanning classical music, bebop and the blues.
