Donald Eugene Cherry (November 18, 1936 — October 19, 1995) was an avant—garde American jazz trumpeter whose career began in close collaboration with saxophonist Ornette Coleman.

The Italian pianist, Leonardo Locatelli, was born into a family of artists, brother and aunt already musicians, the sculptor father and grew up immersed in art. Sera Kalo is a U.S. Afro-Caribbean musician and songwriter. She grew up in a Caribbean home in Connecticut steeped in a mix of musical styles, from her St. Lucian mother’s soulful singing of old hymns and Motown classics to her Dominican father’s love of reggae, cadence and calypso. From a young age, the diverse musical influences of her childhood home combined with the suburban big city sound and various alternative style mixes shaped her love for music. Her vocal idols have among others been Carmen McRae, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson, India Arie and Erykah Badu.

"Live at the Harlem Square Club, 1963" is the second live album by the American singer-songwriter Sam Cooke. The album was released in June 1985 in the United States by RCA Records. Initially recorded to be released as a live album entitled "One Night Stand", the concert at the Harlem Square club (in Miami's historically African American neighborhood of Overtown) was not released until 1985.

The album "Glance" of the talented drummer and composer contains Nohavic's own compositions, influenced by African rhythms or Nordic jazz, capturing the joys and moments of life and trying to honestly tell a story that is hard to describe in words.

"Before the Flood" is a documentary from Fischer Stevens that follows actor Leonardo DiCaprio on a three-year journey as he surveys the impact of climate change. Its soundtrack is a superb collaboration between multi-instrumentalists and producers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, revered composer Gustavo Santaolalla, and Scottish post-rock outfit Mogwai. Opening things nicely is the title track. Comprised of minimal yet solid electronic beats and wavering Swarmatron sounds, the piece is littered with some melancholy piano and striding basslines. Santaolalla's diverse use of strings and acoustics also functions perfectly upon Reznor and Ross' canvas of intertwining electro-organic beauty.
