Big Joe Turner was a blues shouter from Kansas City, Mo., who stood at 6-foot 2, weighed 300 pounds and was fundamental to the development of rock 'n' roll. He was the first to record "Shake, Rattle and Roll" in 1954. The "Big" was added to distinguish him from the already famous Joe Turner, a stride pianist who was born in 1907 in Baltimore. While touring there in the late 1960s, Turner was asked to record by Germany's MPS Records. In November 1969, Turner recorded for the label in Berlin backed by bassist Hans Rettenbacher and drummer Stu Martin. All 13 tracks are laced with a stride-piano sound that conjures up images of the 1920s and '30s.

New Facts Emerge is the 31st and final studio album by English band The Fall, released on 28 July 2017 by Cherry Red Records. This is the first album since Are You Are Missing Winner (2001) not to feature keyboardist Elena Poulou, who quit the Fall the previous year after separating from frontman Mark E. Smith, thus reducing the band to a quartet for the first time since the early 1990s. Smith died in January 2018, and no new or archival recording have since been issued as of late 2021, making New Facts Emerge the band's probable final album.

Born as Charles-Antoine Campion in the Lorraine region of France, Carlo Antonio Campioni (1720-1788) made the decisive move to Florence as a 17-year-old violinist, probably studying with Giuseppe Tartini in his famous ‘school of nations’ in Padova. By 1752 he had become an experienced music director as well as composer, appointed as maestro di capella at the cathedral in Livorno. Around a decade later he moved back to France for a temporary stay in Paris but in 1763 he took up the prestigious post of maestro di capella for the Grand Duke of Florence.
