Few observers expected that Whitney Houston's first big-screen role in 1992's The Bodyguard would generate a phenomenon. Not that the film itself was a phenomenon – it was a healthy success, due not only to Houston, but to her co-star Kevin Costner's drawing power – but the soundtrack's success was astonishing. The Bodyguard followed Houston's cover of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" to the top of the charts, and once they got there, neither the single nor the album budged for weeks. "I Will Always Love You" spent a record-shattering 14 weeks in the top slot, while The Bodyguard spent 20 weeks at number one, eventually selling over 15 million copies and winning the Grammy award for Album of the Year.

Trilogy is the seventh solo studio album by the United States-based blues guitarist and singer from Serbia, Ana Popović. It was released on May 20, 2016. Popović wrote or co-wrote the majority of the songs on the triple album, fifteen of the twenty-three songs. She enlisted the help of many top industry guest artists, such as guitarist Joe Bonamassa, lap steel guitarist Robert Randolph, rapper Al Kapone, and drummers Bernard Purdie and North Mississippi Allstars's Cody Dickinson. She also got some impressive support behind the scenes, with Tom Hambridge and Delfeayo Marsalis among others producing songs for the album. When interviewed by Guitar World, Popović explained that she has always had a mix of styles on her albums, blues, jazz and funk. Some fans told her how they separated out the styles, making compositions of one style or the other, which intrigued Popović.

An odd catalog repackaging timed to coincide with the spring 2015 release of Tokyo Dome in Concert, Van Halen's first-ever live album with David Lee Roth, Deluxe contains that two-disc set and adds the new 2015 remasters of Van Halen and 1984, all housed in a simple little box. It's an affordable way to get good-sounding remasters of two of VH's best, along with a solid latter-day live album, but the lack of so many other great Van Halen records only makes you wonder why this couldn't feature all of the band's Warner albums with Diamond Dave.

It was a matter of coincidence that the Italian cellist Mauro Valli discovered the collection of pieces he has recorded on this disc. In 2007 he received a phone call by the then mayor that he was chosen to be a honorary citizen of Sant'Agata Feltria. He was also advised to have a look at a composer from that city who lived in the 17th century and was called Angelo Berardi. Valli had never heard of him before. He then did some research and found the six Canzoni which were printed as the Sinfonie a violino solo op. 7 in Bologna in 1670. He was immediately struck by the quality of the music and enthused some of his colleagues to play them. This has resulted in the present recording of the complete set.
